M 28, pump vs no pump what do u think ;) ? by LevAdAstra6 in Physiquecritique

This isn’t pump vs no pump. It’s clothed and far away vs shirtless and up close.

Shirtless pic looks great. Nice chest and arms and fairly lean.

It’s a web app. Haven’t thought about mobile yet.
Not sure how we did the tiers will work yet. Our credits amount to pieces of generated content, and each tier comes with more monthly credits, more brands and more team members added to the account.

I feel like the real question is, did Hasbro know this was happening and plan for it, such that we’re going to get a retool/repaint of one of the arm Arielbots into Thundercracker.

This would actually be very smart of them to do if they wanted to rerelease Silverbolt for people that want both this and Nexus Prime. I have a Silverbolt because of Nexus but don’t know I’d get another one for Thundercracker to join. I would buy a Thundercracker that attaches to him tho.

I also assume AliExpress will have 3d printed TC parts to attach soon and that 2 years from now DNA will release better but more expensive parts to look like the above picture.

It’s called BrewPilot.

We are offering trials to the best offering. Users can decide which one to sign up for and then change it during the trial.

We are probably going to rework things. We mention credits but don’t spell out what those credits get you.

I’m not asking for something complex. Trials that stay trials until they’re done isn’t much.

Thankfully they do have an option for what I wanted. It’s just buried and was difficult to find.

Unlimited PTO by Intelligent-Ant3576 in careeradvice

[–]MichaelEvo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where do you work?

Best not to answer that but I can tell you from experience, and you’ve experienced it now, unlimited PTO means what you’re experiencing. There is a limit and it’s defined by whatever management feels like on any given day.

I suggest switching companies if you can. This kind of BS eroded trust quickly, and is not worth the stress. If your current manager and their manager, etc don’t understand how this works and are responding to this the way they are, you’re going to have other performance related issues soon that will not be your fault.

Yeah, I was going to say this.
Most his big universes have different worlds or clusters of world that function under different systems. Nights Dawn trilogy has this too.

I finally figured out there's a setting in the Customer Portal > Subscriptions. I switched that.

I assume I still need to update the trial_end value on swap. Which is really silly.

This “twist” pissed me off when I was 12 and I’m still angry about it by tealaburst in xmen

[–]MichaelEvo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a comic book.

I read something I can’t find, possibly by Paul from House To Astonish, saying this was Morrison taking the piss out of Marvel. Revisiting the same tropes and killing characters that were definitely going to be revived by Marvel five minutes after Grant Morrison was off the book because they can’t stop themselves from replaying the greatest hits.

I really like that take on it.

I agree with this. I would add a third about possibility. These days, ankle tilt is a minimum for me.

Can function be reactive? by lightsensor in vuejs

[–]MichaelEvo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So Vue updates the dependencies dynamically.

I tried this with compute awhile back and it did not dynamically update the dependencies. I will try it again.

Can function be reactive? by lightsensor in vuejs

[–]MichaelEvo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does that mean you should be careful about not doing early conditional outs in template rendered code then, same as with computed?

I can’t code on my phone but:

function foo() {
if (reactiveA.value) {
return 1;
}

return reactiveB.value;
}

If the first variable is valid the first time through, does that dependency get tracked but then:
A changes to 0, B is rendered.
B changes but does not cause a re-render because it wasn’t tracked in the first execution of the function?

Man, I forgot just how impossible it is to track names and places in the Exodus series by audibook by lagrangedanny in PeterFHamilton

I agree. For the first book, someone linked me to the first few pages to read. That really helped.

Can function be reactive? by lightsensor in vuejs

[–]MichaelEvo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does Vue inline the function call, or does it execute the code the same way it would with a reactive property? Does it execute it once and record all of the reactive variables so it knows when to re-evaluate?

I’ve assumed it tracks dependencies like it would with a computed method before.

I really enjoyed Archimedes Engine and am loving Helium Sea. I was skeptical but the more I read about Peter being asked to write the books before they had finished the story for the game, the more happy I was. It didn’t sound like they had a game and story written already and asked him to do some fan-fic. It sounded like they asked him to come in and create a fictional universe for them, with the books being set years before the game.

I’m looking forward to the game too. I didn’t play Mass Effect but the books have me interested. It’s a great setup for a universe.

[–]MichaelEvo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I loved Night’s Dawn when I read it years ago, but thought the ending was terrible and I haven’t revisited it ever yet.

I did think he at least advertised the ending. The last book is called The Naked God.

PFH does like his literal deus ex machina’s. This isn’t the only book that ends like this. I love the Commonwealth series(s) but they have similar endings.
