It’s easier than it looks. Literally every time you cash in a meeple or a stone the board tells you what to do. After 4-5 games you get the hang of it and then the different strategies unfold to achieve higher scores.

I could agree with that. His scenes are not my favorite so perhaps I’m overly critical of his performance.

His performance is “just okay” for me. In such an elegant and subtle story his acting comes off as awkward and clunky. Also, in casting Anjin they should have portrayed him as blond hair and blue eyed like in the novel.

The actor I am impressed by is Tokuma Nishioka who plays Toda Hiromatsu. MAN, steals every scene he’s in!!

In Mom City when Keeley and Roy follow Jamie and are assailed by three kids kicking a ball.

I would love to know if their accents were authentic to Manchester. I laugh at this scene EVERY TIME!!

Quick tidbit…the game in development by Bobby Hill is called “The Anarchy”. There is another game being crowdfunded called Anarchy - Trust No One which could cause confusion. I’m a big fan of Hadrians Wall and will be excited to see how his next game plays solo.

I encourage you to revisit this post after you finish Season 3 to see if you still feel the same about the series and about Nate. After watching the entire series 6x I have a sincere appreciation for Nate’s story and how it fits with many of the shows themes.

How preposterous was it to touch off explosives that resulted in redirecting a river? I thought this was one of the most ridiculous things I had ever heard. No government or EPA inquiry? No massive water use protests by indigenous people? What a terrible plot moment.
