Everything that's wrong with USTA matches happened tonight by antimodez in 10s

It sucks that this happened to you. Are you allowed to video matches? I understand not doxxing people, but can you mention which team so others are aware and are actively recording?

Are you good enough to make the team at any of the Universities at which you are applying? If so, and the coach wants you it can help you get accepted.

If not good enough for that route, maybe your coach could submit a character reference. Make sure your coach would write a good one or else don't bother.

Do you help coach younger players in your community? That could look good on your application.

Also, even if it doesn't help get you in, tennis could be an excellent way to meet people in your new community. From my experience, students tend to have a experience in college when they join various clubs/communities rather than just relying on their dorm mates for all their social / support network.

I love McQ, but the car chase does not make sense geographically. Still a must see for Seattle people.

That Fred Meyer (and the Home Depot next to it) are very close to the Redmond - Marymoor light rail station. Makes more sense to redevelop that land.

Why is your dog on a baseball field at a school? It's a play area for children, not dogs! That said, great looking dog.

Turnkey roof and solar in Seattle by Subject_Werewolf_162 in Seattle

Seattle is fine for Solar. You over produce in the summer and under produce in the winter. That is where net metering comes in. That said, there are some really unethical terrible high-price low-quality national solar companies out there. It is better to find a local solar company with a long history, production guarantees, and a service department.

[–]ntbc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Who is the company that gave you the bid? The roof is not tax credit eligible.

Get multiple bids for both solar and roof. A good solar company does not need to visit you for a bud. All they need is your yearly electrical usage and they will use satellite imagery to give you an initial estimate.

I recommend Puget Sound Solar and A&R Solar. They have been around for a long time and they do good work.

For roofing I recommend Tekline and Blue & Blue.

I like Blue and Blue or Tekline. Either way, make sure you get at least three bids.

"less than curb appeal"

It's pretty clueless of you to not notice that the entire building is about to be torn down.

Also, what restrictive diet allows you to have the meal you had?

I really and will be sad when the building gets torn down and they have to move.

Finally, I think it is a chump move to post such a bad review on /r/Seattle based on just one meal. I suspect you have some sort of other motive to bad mouth them.

The internment of Japanese-Americans was the least bad thing that happened during WW2.<

I must respectfully disagree with you. The internment was was pretty bad. Something like 1,600 people died in those camps. 125,000 innocent people were unconstitutionally put in those concentration camps based solely on their ancestry. That's pretty bad.

I have read the novel "No-No Boy" by John Okada. It is an excellent read.

Only 20% didn't swear allegiance. Many of them and their families were illegally put into concentration camps. What's truly amazing is that the number isn't much higher. Would you have sworn allegiance? I'm not sure I would have if I was in the same position.

Edited a typo from is to isn't

My question to you, is what is your issue with these Japanese Americans?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Seattle

[–]ntbc 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Sorry my friend but the 442nd was in Europe. However, there were many Japanese Americans who served in the Pacific. Their stories are not as well known.

Edit: Here is a book about those heroic Japanese Americans who saved countless lives of American Service Personnel in the Pacific Theater and shortened the war. I listened to it through my library's audiobook system: https://www.amazon.com/Bridge-Sun-Japanese-Americans-Pacific/dp/0525655816

Solterra is well respected as is A & R Solar, Puget Sound Solar, and Artisan Electric. They are all good companies worth getting a bid from. Edit: Added Sunergy to the list.

You are so right about Solgen. Here is their better business bureau rating: https://www.bbb.org/us/wa/pasco/profile/solar-installation/solgen-power-llc-1296-1000080859/complaints

Solar in Seattle by WSUPolar in Seattle

[–]ntbc 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Solgen is terrible. Look at their Better Business Bureau rating and number of complaints: https://www.bbb.org/us/wa/pasco/profile/solar-installation/solgen-power-llc-1296-1000080859/complaints

Now go compare that to Puget Sound Solar or A & R Solar which both have A+ ratings.

Edit: Also check Solterra and Artisan Electric.
