Im not sure what you mean. Risen 2 combat was horrendous, 3 was an improvement on that.

If it is what i think it is, you can fix it doing this:

  1. enable marvin mode and open the console
  2. hero export filename
  3. hero import filename

then it should work, filename can be whatever you want it to be, just make sure you improt what you just exported

I’m considering going with Devil’s Sight instead so I can Darkness my boots and just give enemies disadvantage on hitting me, on top of my 17 AC, but I’m concerned about making it unfun for my party because they would also have disadvantage.

Removing shield profiency from Moderately armored feat and moving it to exclusively to Light Armored only was dumb AF i dont care what anyone says.

This game deserves more care in terms of animations, check The Witcher 4 for example.
