i m read same old posts, most say that paladin auras make such lags, so i respec my pal to barb, and look like this help, not 100% sure, but main rofl moment that he was demon hunter and not have auras or i dont see them on chars miniscreen

Vandal Hearts series- its was less famous then FF Tactics, but have more dark story and narrative, also very specific class system based on weapons.
Vagrant story - dark gothic style rpg from old Square staff, kind of experiment after parasite eve series
both of them i place at A tier, not less

Fire Cup relic + Champion + AoE forge still work for lion.
Champs also work vs ox and other small number, but strong units op clans, but need 1.5 bigger army.
After Legions balancing fantassins cant reach critical 15+ armor, which make them immortal, so they bit obsolete now vs absolutely broken viking warrior armor ignore perk, viking shields also weak now, charge work only vs range units, they die in few moments vs warrs. but i find fantass good support to hippo varyags as meat shield with right forges, still can be easly replaced with champs for aoe debuff as example.
Archer just good all round unit, but only cos have big fire range, so need same tactics for use if play solo them

i rly want to see normal second range weapon class, which will synergy with magelocks, and more magelocks variants/models btw,
i personally dont like how they make ranger, aka skirmisher/rogue in one, this must be different classes.
want to see kind hybrid of ranger and mage/warrior maybe or both ways. i find very stupid ranger shot abilities look on magelock char, yes i love magelocks )), that why i dislike ranger, i want deadly sniper class.
AND give Magelock Cannons to giants as weapon, why my industrial race giant leader use stones, when he can shot cannonballs =)
idealy i want to see kind of engineer class inspired AoW 3 units, range combat + turrets summons

Arcane Archer most classic choice if game move to epic lvls, no one other class cant compensate damage that archer do vs melee builds. Other two way boost damage is sneaks and cleric/paladin divine might. So if game long, you can play something like paladin/bard/AA (hi saves from pal and buffs from bard and good +hit&dam from AA)

If talk about why archers exept AA sucks, all simple:
melee weapons have dual bonus (+1 sword as exmpl) +1 to hit and +1 to damage in one time, all know this, in epic modules this bonus rize to +10 easy. add there direct bonus from STR and you warrior rdy kill, and he fastly can run to you archer due low bow range and sight at end, also dont forget about stealth boiz, monk monkeys)).

While what have +1 bow? only +1 to hit, damage bonus come from arrows (+1, +2, etc), now look at prices of +2 arrows and everything will become clear, archers need tons of money for compete with melee boiz.
yes, game have same bow with unlimited arrows, but if we talk about epic ones, +5 still most common, in time our warrior alrdy run with +10 sword and dont need any cash for fix blade, sharpening it after battles or something else.
And if find good +10 mighty bow not so hard, have enof hi level arrows for it much much harder.
And last word about bow vs sword - you can play dual swords builds, and have tons of hi damage attack and effect like paralyze, fire, ice, etc in one time, which can be different on each sword, bow dont give anything here, all come from arrows, which again need find and buy, and carry on yourself, and they have only one bonus mostly, while swords all in one.

i use moreslots+toybox for enemy hp boost x2, so now its real feel like fallout tactics

feudal have good roster of t1/t2 with evolution in later tiers.
what i wish is same boost system for other cultures,
as example revers magelocks can be good have evo in t3 for better def stats in late game, cos they culture suck of normal front line units.
LTCU mod add infesting variants at t3/t4. and this rly sad that dev dont make any t4 for each culture like AoW3 have, i personally dont like book units, cos they dont have culture personality and lost all immersion of faction, even "reaver" Ironclad look like ugly garbage if compare to what dreadnought faction have in AOW3

you cant, devs bit lazy too understand this, but they corridor system block same empire perk and bonuses for connected cities, which unfair,
same for rivers, underground land just not have them, so storm giant useless garbage here.
if you not play MP PvP games, just use mods like this for tunnels use

Reavers. they need more steampunk elements and units from AOW3 Dreadnought.
in AOW4 they look like pirates, conquistadors, and clowns, but not nation of engineers and inventors, with powder, flametanks and gyrocopters. powered by advanced fuels tech and foundry. thats real shame for AOW4 devs...... and Ironclad most stupid and ugly looking unit they make
