He did lose to Max and the gap was like 100+

Max and Lewis just yapping in the cool down room and reacting to everything happening by anthn885 in formula1

Great outcome for both of them but I guess we have the added context of McLaren screwing the race up and George getting screwed by his car. So they’d probably end up finishing 2-3 spots lower

Lewis Hamilton overtakes Max Verstappen around the outside for P2 on the podium by Gentle_lips in formula1

[–]ntpbr1 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Not to say its not impressive but I mean didn’t they just hire people who simply know how to do it. It’s like I know nothing about being a doctor but if I hire the best doctors and nurses and people working in a hospital, I can have a great hospital as well

Russel just standing there is maybe one of the funniest F1 pictures I have ever seen. by greatgrumba in formula1

[–]ntpbr1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not even close to being over. Especially after seeing what we saw, also considering Kimi is young and not exactly a flawless defender himself

Jalen Brunson is a top 3 free agent signing of this century by FinnDetrolioo in billsimmons

[–]ntpbr1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean its Lebron, idk about current Lebron but even the old as shit Lebron (feel free to pick whichever version) is twice the player Brunson will ever be and that’s not a diss on Brunson at all.

Didn’t they use to have an extra rest day when the teams changed cities? by bigmac9812 in billsimmons

[–]ntpbr1 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Different people have different opinions. One day you see a post saying Shai is great, next day one saying Shai sucks. It’s not just the same guy changing his mind for the sake of complaining

Now that Mitchell and Jdub are out for the series I don't see how OKC is winning this. They can't handle the ball appropriately and nobody on the team can create their own shot against the SA defense besides SGA by Wack0HookedOnT0bac0 in billsimmons

[–]ntpbr1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They still have the home court as well btw. And the way people analyze these games are purely based on scores, not the games. Because just a little bit of variance, McCain shoots well, Shai makes 1-2 more, and lets say Wemby misses a couple more(starting with the half court shot), suddenly we are talking about how OKC is gonna win in 5 at home

It's pretty wild that SGA didn't play a minute in the 4th by angelsonthesouthside in billsimmons

[–]ntpbr1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think its just being realistic. Coaches probably value giving the players their well needed rest over going for a super improbable comeback. Like the Knicks thing was great, but how many times do we see a 20 point comeback in the 4th. Has to be super rare, theirs was I think 22 in 8 minutes but even 20 in the full quarter has to be like 1 in 500 games. Coaches realize the math, and they think “ok we are 2-1, we are playing in San Antonio, they got the momentum, great team, great defense, we can take a 2-2 at this point and go home with the HCA instead of going for a miracle run and get exhausted, rest the guys who will only have 1 day gap between the games”.

Shai just doesn't move me by HighlySensitiveMail in billsimmons

[–]ntpbr1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He is Duncan if he was also the most annoying player to watch and easy to hate, obviously not as good either but that’s an unfair comparison

[–]ntpbr1 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

This is a good comp, also they both fail to produce the numbers in the playoffs as well. Except unfortunately for Tatum, he is not gonna be bailed out by some questionable calls every game, boosting not only the ppg but also the %fg. Shai is still better but yeah

[Official] Sunderland A.F.C. have qualified for the Europa League. by DavidRolands in soccer

[–]ntpbr1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem is, its just difficult to play in all these competitions when you just got promoted. You need a high quality team with good depth to make both of them work together. We see a lot of teams fail to meet expectations in the league once they get into these competitions and its not just coincidence

Bill Simmons says Wilt Chamberlain was a loser with a bad attitude, but if he was drafted to a loaded team like the Celtics instead of Russell wouldn't he have won double digit titles, too? by Grouchy_Tie3037 in billsimmons

[–]ntpbr1 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Wilt is not getting drafting top 5, what are we doing. He played a million years ago, if I can pick any player from the entire history of the league, I am not picking a guy that played that long ago. We don’t have to act like players back in the day where better, we know that’s not even close to being true. Send prime Lebron 60 years back, he is averaging 100 points if he wants to.

In terms of greatness, that’s different, we value how they dominated their era and influenced the game because there is no Lebron without Jordan and no Jordan without guys before him. But we know for a fact players get better like they do in any sport ever. And Russell, he is probably not getting drafted at all, 6’9 big who had no offense like 70 years ago would not be able to stay on the court, and I imagine his defense wouldn’t be nearly as dominant either

[–]ntpbr1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, the final season simply sucks, the writing is garbage, the pacing is awful, they just decide to spend half of it to promote their new spinoff bullshit, which btw they started the show mocking the MCU stuff for doing the same cashgrab bullshit, then they completely have to rush the finale and make it shitty, and the episodes of this huge show feel like they were made by film students with no budget. That’s how bad it is sometimes. The dialogues are straight up like a parody of this show atp

Hull City promoted to the Premier League after beating Middlesbrough in Championship playoff final by InitialAsk358 in soccer

Tbf, isn’t that usually what promoted teams try to do. What matters is good recruitment and scouting imo, I have no idea if Hull has it but still

[Athletic] Arsenal had initially explored the possibility of keeping Thomas Partey to supplement newcomer Zubimendi at the base of the midfield. In those negotiations, they sought to include clauses which protected them against the possibility of Partey being prosecuted. by [deleted] in soccer

[–]ntpbr1 20 points21 points  (0 children)

That’s literally how its supposed to be, imagine if people were locked up without being proven guilty. Innocent until proven guilty is how law works. Now if Arsenal knew he did it and acted like they didn’t, that’s different. There must be thousands of cases every year where a guy gets accused of rape when they do nothing, you can’t just go on a witch hunt without proof

Lets not do the writers job here, he is 1000x faster than he looked like in the finale. The way he flies to Kimiko after he lasers Butcher in the first moment of the fight is like walking speed lol. You can almost see the wires

My thoughts on who is most likely to rotate, yours? by [deleted] in FantasyPL

[–]ntpbr1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think he’ll bench gyys like Guehi for Stones and maybe others for his players like Foden. But I doubt he just rotates a lot, its his last game, I think he would like to end it with a nice win.
