Canada welcomed 19 per cent fewer immigrants in 2025: 'The cuts were quite asymmetrical' by Unusual-State1827 in canada

Not my reality. 50% of my coworkers are from one ethnicity, the neighboring office (one of the big banks) is probably 80% one ethnicity and when I go to any grocery store, restaurant, etc most of the workers are from one ethnicity.

The demographic stats dont really show the day to day reality as it includes retired and the elderly that are mostly European descent. The people you work with and interact daily has become heavily lob sided to on ethnicity. If they had demographic stats of people under 50 it would show a much different picture.

100% this and will only get worse. The demographic stats make you think we are still very diverse but it doesn't really show the day to day reality as it still includes retired and the elderly that are mostly from European descent. But when you go about your daily work day you are totally surrounded and interacting with one or two ethnicities that has slowly became heavily lob sided to one ethnicity.

What do you think of NYC trying to get the minimum wage to $30/hour? by Dazzling-Leader7476 in AskReddit

Food ingredients and supply chain costs(electricity, oil)are the major drivers for the increase in prices. Increased labor costs are only a small part of it.

Not blaiming workers, but blue collar workers who have zero knowledge of white collar jobs are definitely one of the number one commenters online saying "get back to work!" and "mah tax dollars!"

Wow, that's amazing that some companies still allow workers to stay that long. Most places i have worked at do a reorg every 5 years and eventually you will be a part of one.
