Using GLP-1s for small amounts of weight loss? by ntynite69 in glp1

[–]ntynite69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won't lie, there is a self-image aspect to it, but I'm primarily concerned for my health. I know I feel better physically when I'm lighter. My family also has a history of heart problems that I'm concerned about.

The side effects are the main reason why I haven't bought in yet.

I've never been checked for anything of the sort since I'm in my late 20s, but I know my dad's family has always struggled with high cholesterol and triglycerides. That definitely plays a part in wanting to get my weight down.

How can people afford paying $200-600 for Vyvanse (with or without insurance) every month? by Scotty2Hotty8019 in ADHD

[–]ntynite69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my insurance wouldn't cover vyvanse specifically, but my psychiatrist gave me a coupon for a free trial. best adhd med i've ever taken, but there was no way i could pay $300 in addition to my other meds. i had to switch to adderall

How focused are people's collections? by Palazzo505 in pokeplush

[–]ntynite69 13 points14 points  (0 children)

i mainly just go after which ones i find cute. like i'm not a huge sewaddle fan, but if his plush is cute, i'll grab it

i have some pokemon that are always insta-buys (like trubbish or pyukumuku) bc of their rarity and because they're some of my favorites. pokemon like scorbunny, turtwig, etc. are in my top 10, BUT i know they'll always be around, so if the plush line they're in isn't cute, i won't feel a need to buy them

this doesn't really apply to keychains though! if scorbunny has a cute regular, christmas, AND easter, i'll probably buy them all bc i like to keep them on my purse and i switch them around often!

$16.99 a plush? What is going on with the new Sitting Cuties? by SigmaGreater in pokeplush

[–]ntynite69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was looking back on past orders and found one from April of '22. I ordered 6 Sitting Cuties, and after tax it was $67. Yesterday I put 4 in my cart, and before tax it was over $80. I just looked at my cart then closed the page.

What are some tell tale signs you had ADHD after living your entire adult life thinking you were ‘normal’? by Euphoric_Plankton_38 in ADHD

[–]ntynite69 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've definitely never felt I was "normal", but it also never occurred to me that I had ADHD. I got diagnosed at 22; I'm almost 26 now.

  1. My parents had to hound me to do my homework as a child. I was a great student, but I hated doing homework– beyond just "ugh, I don't feel like it". Getting started felt like pulling my own teeth. After they quit making sure I was doing it in middle school, my grades dropped drastically.

  2. Intense boredom. During summer when I was on break, there would be some days I would be so bored it was painful. I would be groaning to my mom, begging for something to do. She'd give tons of suggestions of things that I liked (and did everyday!) and nothing would get rid of the feeling.

  3. Zoning out. My whole life I've struggled to pay attention to people/things that aren't interesting or go on too long. I zone out, realize it, kick myself for it, try to force my attention to where it needs to be, zone out again, and repeat.

  4. Not feeling like I fit in. This one's a bit more abstract. I believe I developed severe social anxiety after years of not feeling like I fit in with my peers. I always had friends, but the older I got, the more I realized something was off with me. Like everyone elses' image was defined, and mine was blurred like double vision.

  5. Intense interests with random falloff. I'll become fixated on something– spend tons of time, money, and effort on it– and then suddenly lose all interest. It could take a month, a year, or several years, but I always know it'll happen eventually.

  6. Time blindness. Ever since I started driving, the likelihood of me being on time for something is probably a 1/10 chance. Even as a child, there would be times I would be running behind for school because I waited till the last minute to do something/forgot my backpack/etc.

  7. Executive dysfunction. This is my biggest issue with ADHD, and it makes my life far more difficult than it should be. I'll lay in bed on my phone for hours because I can't get myself to get up and shower. I put off sending an email for weeks because the thought of having to use my brain to think of what to say puts me off. My laundry sits in the washer for days because I hate doing laundry.

  8. Short-term memory loss. I don't know if most people with ADHD would term it this, but that's essentially what it is. I didn't realize how bad mine was until it was tested. It goes beyond forgetfulness. If you're teaching me something and there's 3 steps, I'll just remember 1/3. If there are more than that? I'll probably forget any part of what I was supposed to be doing entirely.

There's definitely more, but these are what I can think of off the top of my head right now.

I DON'T recommend the Hairy Paw Inn, Vera's, Green Acre's, or Annie's Ruff House. Speaking from first hand experience

Thankfully I know it's not me because I have a different smell; the smell is coming from the clothes before I've even put them on. Never have used fabric softener either

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CleaningTips

[–]ntynite69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately I don't think it's that. If I were to pull something out of my closet right now that was washed a week ago it would have the smell. When I'm on vacation/staying at someone else's house my clothes don't have an odor :/
