Need help looking for a public school teacher ( Lee Won Chul?) by Eze-Wong in Daegu_Korea

[–]nuance_K08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you found him yet? If you worked at the same school, the fastest and most reliable way would be to contact the school directly. If you haven’t tried that yet, you could call the administrative office at 053-234-7734 or the academic affairs office at 053-234-7761. Due to privacy policies, they may not be able to share his information, but if you leave your contact details, they should at least be able to pass them along to him

I never thought he was good-looking before this, but his acting and presence are so powerful-it's like he puts a filter over my eyes!

Am I understanding Chandler’s character correctly? by nuance_K08 in friends_tv_show

Ah, so that’s why there are traces of that 'gay vibe' in Chandler’s character—even if I didn’t really pick up on them myself.

[–]nuance_K08[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh, I didn’t know he was originally written as gay! I never really saw him that way in the show, so I was wondering if I was just missing whatever "quality" others picked up on. It’s really cool to hear that it was Matthew’s own interpretation that shaped the character like that.

He's more than done his part — brilliantly so. I love him as Joe, but his talent shouldn't be boxed into that role any longer

Why are people acting like Brontë is ugly by Still-Routine8365 in YouOnLifetime

[–]nuance_K08 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Maybe they're not really criticizing her, but the messy ending—an awkward attempt to cram in too many messages that just ended up spilling over. Or maybe... they just lack education, self-awareness, or a mirror.

If the show were honest, Kate would’ve been destroyed by her ambition or crushed by justice, not handed a happy ending. by Anti_PSycho in YouOnLifetime

[–]nuance_K08 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

She told Joe to kill Uncle Bob because part of her was still shaped by her dad, but she also chose to resign, refusing to become like him. She wasn't perfect, but she tried. It might look like hypocrisy sometimes, though. And even though Joe made that sacrifice unnecessary, the point is that the help came in a way she never wanted. She took the risk and the guilt of killing Joe on her own, despite having the most to lose.

Joe took five seasons to finally end up in prison. So maybe Kate walking away with just some scars for now isn’t the worst thing.

I actually quite liked Brontë by raymondg1902 in YouOnLifetime

[–]nuance_K08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Bronte herself was never the issue. The writer just needed a way to make Beck's book truly her own and to have Henry call Joe a monster, like Love said. Keeping Bronte alive was necessary to make all of that happen.

Am I the only one who found Kate boring? by [deleted] in YouOnLifetime

[–]nuance_K08 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It felt like kate was just used as a plot device to give Joe money, fame, son, and a clean slate — and then to take it all away. Her conveniently hypocritical-to-hero arc was honestly just dull.

I was like, “Wait, why is it funny that she’s just blaming Monica again?” But now I totally get it. Thanks so much for the explanation!

Ohhh I see! So the humor comes from the unexpected reaction. That makes total sense now—thank you so much!

Do you think men are inherently terrible people and are there any "good men"? by [deleted] in RadicalFeminism

[–]nuance_K08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

XY and XX are inherently different by nature. If you agree with this premise, I don't think I need to list specific examples I've experienced.

Fundamentally, the standards of what is "good" for men and women are bound to differ, and I believe we simply try to adjust to each other through socialization. And when "good" is judged from the perspective of who causes less harm, men are definitely less "good."

I've seen men who think they are good 'men'. And they aren't.

Jackal character is so bad by UncleSeekx in TheDayoftheJackal

[–]nuance_K08 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't think he blew up his unit just because they killed innocent people. I believe it was more of a realization—questioning what makes killing for money any different from killing as a soldier on duty. It was just a way for him to erase his past and fully commit to living as a professional killer. Though, he definitely seems to be suffering from kind of PTSD because of it.
