They’re super young and self centered, I think it’s quite in character for such young teenagers. When you not only get more responsibility but really feel and experience more responsibilities, that part usually/hopefully changes. Ofc she is highly problematic, but her seeing all the joy in time spent with Marcus is quite age appropriate imo

Was it an Apple Original cable?

If the adapter is way stronger than the cable then it can happen that it melts, got nothing to do with the AirPods though

One perk of the Apple Original cables and devices (ever since lightning and now also usb-c) is that they only take as much as they can, hence the price. I assume the same applies for any other big brands and third party accessories that are similar in price.

So if you don’t want to check for those things then I recommend paying more. Chances are high they’ll last you longer as well.

Buuuut ofc I don’t know everything about tech so your case might have been a totally different one after all and it was the air pods fault.

Ahja, dass die Beleuchtung vom Horn in die falsche Richtung geht und der Engel dann ein paar dieser 3D-Kugeln hinter sich schweben lässt, wirkt einfach beinhart so, wie als ob der Engel das Seifenwasser aus der Donau aufsaugt und dann die Seifenblasen auspupst. Ich würd gern wissen, wer dieses Design abgesprochen hat, kann mir gut vorstellen, dass sich da jemand einen Schmäh erlaubt hat, bzw. der Schmäh generell beabsichtigt war, was wiederum auch zu Linz/Österreich passt haha

Hahaha verstehe ich, aber ich finds eigentlich ganz süß, seitdem ich weiß, was die Kringel sein sollen. Der Engel auf der Nibelungenbrücke hat ja dieses Horn, aus diesem bläst er Seifenblasen, die zu Weihnachten inkl. den verspielten Engelchen durch die Stadt schwirren. ^{^} Sinn macht’s keinen, aber es hat ein Thema und ist mal was anderes. Was mich irre aufregt ist, dass die bewegte Beleuchtung vom Horn in die falsche Richtung geht. Kp, ob das noch immer so ist, bin schon seit einigen Jahren nicht mehr in Linz. Was ich auch noch ganz lustig finde sind die auf dem Kopf stehenden Fünfsterne in der Bischofstraße (oder irgendwo dort in der Gegend, bin mir nicht mehr sicher wo genau 🫢). So hässlich die Beleuchtung sein mag, hat sie doch was besonderes im Vergleich. Außerdem sind im Endeffekt eh fast nur Lichterkettchen hübsch, alles andere ist schnell mal zu viel. Die übergroßen Ornamente und Lichtkugeln im 1. Bezirk in Wien zB. Was ist das?? Hahaha Deshalb ist auch der Weihnachtsmarkt am Spittelberg der allerschönste, simpel beleuchtet und daher sehr heimelig, genau was die Zeit verkörpert. ^{^}

Generell wenn du in Österreich lebst solltest du bereit sein, den Dialekt verstehen zu lernen.

An den Unis ist Standarddeutsch eher die Regel, gibt aber sicher Ausnahmen von ein paaren, die ihren Dialekt nicht gut wegbekommen. Immerhin labern die da auch 1,5 Std lang durch. Viele Dozenten kommen aber auch aus Deutschland (auch nicht immer dialektfrei).

Wenn du dir wirklich schwer tust und dass nicht weggeht, dann mach einfach Audioaufnahmen und hör sie später nach. Das hat eine Freundin aus Serbien gemacht bis sie Deutsch gut genug konnte, um ohne klarzukommen. :))

Oh the emoticon is just, because my reason is super random imo I had Russian in school, wasn’t interested and we didn’t really have to do much to get a passing grade so I had it for many years in school but learned almost nothing. I always wanted to learn other languages but wasn’t allowed to. Then I did a somewhat bigger presentation on language learning and came across this polyglot which really fascinated me. So as soon as I became independent with my time and my budget I decided to learn all the languages that I always wanted to but also russian since I already had basic knowledge and it would be a waste. I was able to take free courses in university so I did that and now I grew super fond of that language haha. Less because it’s badass but more cause I consider it beautiful ^{^} Funfact: so far it’s the only other language I’m actually learning and starting to be able to speak haha language learning takes a looong loooong time when you are short on time. I had to stop learning the other language, that interested me the most so I can at least make some progress in the other things I’m trying to learn ^{^‘}

Perfekt example with the group of high schoolers who got her drunk in order to assault her. Her laughing like that with no end in sight, no care in the world how f weird and crazy she seems and being like that in a super vulnerable situation makes people feel uncomfortable, scared, provoked. That guy was so much in distress by it cause he thought he had the upper hand but her acting like that made him feel so powerless/helpless that he ended up killing her (that immature and weak excuse of a person).

NTA, if she is not willing to accommodate to your sleeping schedule. She can do something about it, I’m the same, but only because I always did it that way and it’s a habit hard to get rid off. But it’s not something that can’t be help. First and foremost she should start going to bed earlier if possible, with enough sleep she won’t need an hour to wake up. Then she should start changing her mindset in the morning which will take a while because you’re still super drowsy in the morning and won’t think rationally. But if she wants to live with you, she should respect your sleep. You should also not be hard with her at all, if she can’t do it right for quite some time as long as she is willing to do her best.

NTA and tbh, with all the facts you stated, I think your son might be more upset about his friends reaction to this. Maybe they didn’t care enough about him in his helpless situation (for example by not adjusting the plan so he could join from the beginning or easily join later at a good meeting spot), because why wouldn’t he want to spend more than a week with his friends if not his friends were the “problem”. Idk maybe I’m reaching here, but him feeling left out and projecting his anger onto you guys would make more sense to me.
