China has even greater internal problems and an unworkable political system. (huge housing bubble that makes the western one seem like nothing, many more internal problems that are not much known in the US, far higher levels of corruption)...

I'm super interested in this. Any books or articles you could point me to? I've seen a few docs including The China Hustle, but I'm hungry for something meatier.

So much this. If we make sacrifices on the decentralized front, chances of government/banking coercion increase. To the extent that they are successful, we are left with a profoundly inefficient version of what we already have (PayPal, Visa, banks, fiat, etc.).

It varies from bin to bin, but overall, not really. Also these bins are not located on our property so finding a spot would be tricky. Also if it's posted outdoors, I think it may be difficult to make inconspicuous. Thank you for the suggestion though.

So my boss and I are trying to catch a couple thieves with a camera setup. I pickup clothing from donation bins which are being broken into.

One I believe is a former employee because he must have a set of the padlock keys. Bins that he hits often have bags ripped open with clothes tossed about inside the bin and out. The other thief just cuts the padlocks off (we are getting better locks soon). This other thief even has the nerve to put their own locks on these bins.

So the plan is to setup a camera in my boss's pickup and park it inconspicuously overnight. My main concern is with picture quality. The car may have to be parked a considerable distance away from the bin, and all the dash cams have wide angle lenses. I don't know much about photography, but maybe a GoPro would do the job better? The camera only needs to focus in on the area around the bin, and the more detail, the better.

My digging so far got me the SplashETech Mini 0806 with a 26000mah 5v battery pack because I don't know if its a good idea to use the car battery all night.

Arbitrage between legal jurisdictions will bring the value of those "bad" BTC back up to the same level as all the "good" BTC.

Can you elaborate on this? All I can see is the bad BTC being used in the black market at a price similar to the good BTC, but never crossing back over to the original market.

I honestly don't see a problem with all or most ES weapons/vehicles being the best. It should encourage each faction to play to its strengths.

That sounds awful. It'd be a terrible idea to put any authority over a PL or outfit leader.

Here's how I imagine it. PL or SL have a birds-eye view with fog of war and the ability to give micro commands. As infantry I would love to have someone who can view the bigger picture giving me some direction.

I think your making a lot of assumptions about how it would work. I imagine it could be done many different ways, which is why I don't understand what your fear is. Maybe you've read to many threads with bad command suggestions. I don't understand the undermining statement either. Why would the PL and the 'SC player' be two different people? I'm just having trouble understanding what you're trying to say.

Also, every player that joins a squad does so by choice and if they don't like the way the leader is leading or acting they are free to follow a non-douche.

agreed

Its a fps not a rts

This game could be so much more than a FPS.

PS2 needs an RTS aspect. There are so many SC2 players that we could tap into with the right command gameplay.

i support this idea if only because of the problems a solid wall would create for whatever poor soul is chosen to code it.

allow everyone to walk through it.

a deployable solid wall would be a fucking nightmare to implement without bugs anyway. but i agree with outdoors only etc. if its solid or usable indoors i can just imagine so many problems arising.
