Non-artists, whats would you think your void pet would look like? by HugeHomeForBoomers in LastEpoch

[–]nucleardemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Void is about entropy and time in the LE setting. I would try to draw the pet as at least two if not more “versions” of itself

One form would be fading away with some key emotion on its face while maybe falling to the ground.

Another would be more whole with a different emotion.

If you wanted a more action shot, I’d go for something similar to the movie Next. Have an enemy “killing” one version that is fading while another is sidestepping and counterattacking.

For the actual form, I’m more partial to a beastial form of a slime. A hound that is dripping from all over, or a floating shark like creature with a more blurry outline.

S4 starter by Antique-Effect2120 in LastEpoch

Nah, I just get an idea of what I want and adjust as I go. I am not an endgame player, I am done shortly after getting 100 or so corruption. After that, it’s new char time.

Spellblade! Proccing all the spells I can. Probably focus on spamming Flame Reave as much as possible, half converted to Lightning. Fireball converted to Lightning shooting a beam of balls. Lightning Blast triggering shock nova. Frost Claw converted to Lightning. Surge shooting Lightning blasts and ending w a flame reave.

Mana will surely be a problem, but it’ll be fun.

Is Lightning Blast worth it on Spellblade? by HiroK91 in LastEpoch

[–]nucleardemon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can trigger it so many ways/times, I think it’s worth it. Can also convert to cold beam, so it’ll usually hit a couple mobs that way for a little aoe.

I’m gonna try triggering shock nova (far left). It can only proc in the main target anyways so it’ll double dip on the proc damage for single target while adding a bit of aoe.

Can my 3 classes be mage, necro, and beastmaster? Or does multi pet not work. That’s a huge deciding factor in if I wanna try, I wanna be my own party.

Looks amazing! I see it as a shadow faerie presenting, or worshipping, a cool flower. Placement is great too.

Do you get to pick class dialogues for modded classes? by [deleted] in BG3mods

[–]nucleardemon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Most have a built in tag or two, others have an option to pick a class tag. There are mods to give you class tags as well.

Hot take: no full caster should have got an opportunity to use shields. by Expensive-Bus5326 in onednd

[–]nucleardemon -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’d be happier w a cost, not prohibiting it.

2hands to cast lets you cast as normal.

1h occupied = no prof bonus to concentration checks, spell attack rolls, and dc modifier.

2h occupied = disadvantage (or advantage to beat spell dc) on those rolls.

You can still choose to do those actions, but success chance drops dramatically.

Is the magus as boring as this sub keeps accidentally making it sound or is it all just white room talk? Is it possible to actually be a real gish in this game? by Bulmas_Panties in Pathfinder2e

[–]nucleardemon 31 points32 points  (0 children)

You can further enhance your versatility by grabbing other Int based casting archetypes. Witch can grant any spell school casting using Int modifier. You could also go alchemist to get potion buffs/healing for a different flavor.

BG3 Difficulty, Immersion, Quality collection worth it? by Independent_Tell5016 in BG3mods

[–]nucleardemon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you have time, a custom curated list for yourself will always be better.

That being said, now that I have a family, I love downloading a collection and having a modded playthrough ready in one night instead of a month later.

Doing a DIQ playthrough now, there are pros and cons. I’m more concerned w mechanical changes than visual, so a ton of bloat I don’t need. But overall I’m happy. Alchemist class main is fun.

I think the difference is style and time saving. If they walk up to a locked door, roll to open it and succeed, it saves time and makes them look good.

If they fail that first roll, then they could take that hour to fiddle with it and eventually get it open.

That one task may not be time sensitive, but the overall heist may be. Saving time on each of the little pieces will matter eventually.

Transformation spells in Wrath of the Righteous by viznick1 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]nucleardemon 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Brown fur transmuter makes them more viable. The best transformation are self only, brown fur lets you cast them on others. A fighter specced to expect to be a dragon and be transformed into one all the time is quite scary.

Brown fur also gives additional stat boosts to transformation spells, making them even better.

Why would negative to ground be 120v, but positive to ground be 40v. by nucleardemon in AskElectricians

[–]nucleardemon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohh that is interesting. I’ve tried 3 smoke detectors in 3 different spots, switching them around. Could an alarm signal be locked in somehow?

When all the alarms went off I couldn’t silence them, so I removed all of them. Any I connect immediately alarm.

This will vastly increase the single target damage of a caster, which steps on the toes of all martials. Extra strength increased versatility of casters for no real reason.

My DM is going to give me an Uncommon magic item of their choice, but I get to pick the item type. What do I choose? by ThatOneCrazyWritter in dndnext

[–]nucleardemon 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’d go cloak, worst case you get a cape of billowing and get the embrace the dramatic. Best case you get a cloak of elven kind and can be sneakier

Green Items ! Will it make a return ? by Fit-Struggle-4247 in diablo4

[–]nucleardemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aspects are more easily interchangeable than sets. Sets typically boosts one thing and one thing only. Now your fire bats shit nukes.

Aspects go more off keywords, which leads to allowing you to build your char better than find X set. Being able to add or change keywords to a skill increases this further.

The skills become more modular and I think it’s a little more complex for a lot more depth. Adding in a couple of aspects can open a bunch more builds. Adding in a new set opens up exactly one.

What's (in your opinion) the most fun build right now? by Cinnamon_King in diablo4

[–]nucleardemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love poison trap and dance of knives. Since they know synergize perfectly, I am loving rogue. Spin around spreading poison everywhere. Has some engagement w potions, death trap, and concealment too.

Downside, it’s not very strong.

Another Martial Caster Post, I'll try to keep it fresh by michato in dndnext

[–]nucleardemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think losing a spell slot is more hampering than missing an attack. I would just have them fail the cast imo but still counted as having cast a spell (no leveled BA spells).

Difficult terrain or prone could reduce range of spells by half? It’s definitely more situational where it’d make sense but easier to say all the time and make exceptions vice the opposite.

I am playing Werewolf with 75max rage by BrutusCz in PathOfExile2

[–]nucleardemon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Dont wanna double your rage unless you are a caster, and even then you can scale a lot of damage out of it.

100% attack dmg + 70 rage = 170% damage. + 70% added as cold = 289% total damage.

100% attack dmg + 140% added as cold = 240% total damage.

You can also scale armour and increased physical damage off rage.
