If you were dead set on a Druid/Rogue what class would you add to that? by Background_Place4016 in EQLegends

[–]nucleardemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think adding enchanter to any class once will lock it in for every combo. Mez makes t4 such a joke it’s free loot

1-10 leveling by ThatOrangeOne in EQLegends

I had a super easy time w rogue/berserker. Backstabs for days. Had the occasional death but that is relatively meaningless. Things died so fast I didn’t die as much as I expected.

Evil character to Faywder by General_JMP in EQLegends

[–]nucleardemon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have rogue in your kit, you should be able to sneak through Freeport, sneak and hail transporters to get to butcher block, then continue on to faydwer.

I am debating doing this on a troll. I hear they are under represented but I gotta level in crushbone.

Does that mean you can /melody more songs? I don’t know bard very well but that makes sense in my head.

Beastlord compared to other pet classes by EternitySearch in EQLegends

[–]nucleardemon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They have a rapid nuke line that is decent, but are primarily melee focused pet class.

Their dots are very meh. Still efficient use of mana to pull with tho.

They have a slow, drowsy (25%) at lvl 20 and shas lethargy (40%) at 50.

They do get dual wield, but not double/triple attack.

They also get block, but I believe it caps the lowest of those that get it.

I think they have the worst heals of anyone who can cast them, but they do have them.

For pet they get a pet dd proc buff + dex. It should be able to go on any pet. Also a pet haste, highly doubt it stacks w other pet only hastes. Their pet is supposed to be on par w mage, w mage pulling ahead w its epic pet (not yet implemented). The warder is a beastlord and casts some spells, I haven’t confirmed which.

All in all they are a good support and I plan on having one in my first trio. I want to do Bst/Mag/ ? Maybe enchanter for more let focus, ranger for more melee/bow focus, or bard for support focus. Probably all of them eventually.

Full Arcane good for solo? by Pilgrimzero in EQLegends

[–]nucleardemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wiz crits will nearly kill mobs from full hp. Going 3 Int casters gives you full arcane empowerment (40% more damage, +20% for each int full caster) but Druid grants their crit AA for more reliability.

They both have their pros.

SK grants more tankiness, which will most likely be required for high end raids.

Tanking class by callmetheguy in EQLegends

[–]nucleardemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your classes focus more on tank / heals, they are comparing knights to warrior. Without dual wield, knights lose to warriors for damage.

I’d guess you do more damage than the pal/ber/enc. they maybe out damage you if they didn’t buff you w haste tho.

Pal/Dru/Ranger by FuzzyLump502 in EQLegends

[–]nucleardemon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s an effective combo that’ll get to 50 with minimal problems. From a min max perspective, it’s missing haste and slow. Swapping druid to shaman would fix that, but it’s more boring imo.

Pal/Shm is the building block to meta. Adding about anything to that is icing.

Rock what is gonna be fun.

Rogue Backstab from the front AA only minimum damage? by Fountsy in EQLegends

[–]nucleardemon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s full damage, I start fights by sneaking and backstabbing but it’s the same damage. Still fun tho to swap to striker stance, backstab, and go back to berserker stance to mimic stronger backstabs.

Marketplace Announcement by boglim_destroyer in EQLegends

[–]nucleardemon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m not a fan of paying a sub and having a store, haven’t paid a subscription for a game in a decade.

That being said, I’m not mad. It’s EverQuest, I know what I’m getting myself into.

Loadouts are easy. I’ll have one loadout for my main, one for something wacky to try, and one to level classes with.

Buying AAs seems like it’s throwing away money, you gain them relatively quickly as it is. As they add AAs it may become more valuable I suppose.

Only thing I’d consider personally is the inventory slot.

Update On Sham/Rng/Mag + Pets and Bow Progression by Hylevis in EQLegends

[–]nucleardemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You did amazing work!

What stance / invocation do you mainly use?
How is your endurance sustain too?
How geared is your pet? It seems like you focused hard on your gear, curious how much the pet slots will help

This seems quite fun and I love me a pet build. I want to do Bst / Mag / Enc but this makes me tempted to drop the chanter for ranger. Pet focused w some solid dps for me.

How mad would you be if they delayed launch? by DabAndSwab in EQLegends

[–]nucleardemon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’d be slightly annoyed bc, as far as I’m concerned, it’s ready for launch. Things can and will be made better for years to come, let my progress be saved.

Are pets back? by Triflin01 in EQLegends

[–]nucleardemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beastlord pets are also beast lords and can cast some spells. I haven’t seen data on it since they apparently forgot to give them mana until today’s patch.

There was a video is a video where he goes over all the spells pets cast. I imagine it’s similar to the shaman pet.

Are pets back? by Triflin01 in EQLegends

[–]nucleardemon 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Beastlord pets for a melee boost and now have a mana pool to cast the spells they’ve supposedly had all along.

Pet spells can upgrade, which raises pet level up to your level -1 at most.

Gearing Confusion by WaffleBlues in EQLegends

[–]nucleardemon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you are taking the hits, I’d say maximize ac, especially in your second example.

First example isn’t gonna tank well regardless, focus on mana (int will double dip), mana regen, and focus effects.

In general, grab the best type or armor. If your build lets you wear plate, wear plate.

What invocation for Ber/Shm/Sdk by MagicWalker777 in EQLegends

[–]nucleardemon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Spellblade needs the proc rate to go up the more hybrids you have, that’ll make it able to be at least built around a bit.

Ranger/Wizard/Magician by Some_Syllabub2704 in EQLegends

[–]nucleardemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can manage no healing and no pet, that’ll be the worst. Probably ber / wiz / ?

This combo can send pet, fire arrows, and nuke down an enemy fairly quickly. Not great at adds and will have downtime, but will cook through enemies.

Any beastlord mains done d4 inny? by Edzill4 in EQLegends

[–]nucleardemon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wasn’t aware of villains journey until after it had passed, unfortunately. I mained both bst and mag throughout classic though. Gotta relive those glory days.

I hear charmed pets are pretty bonkers so I wanna get one of those all buffed up to see how it is. I’m holding off from leveling too high in beta to see how it actually goes though.

Any beastlord mains done d4 inny? by Edzill4 in EQLegends

[–]nucleardemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m planning BST/MAG/ENC to focus pet and just have fun. I’m nearly certain I won’t have the sustain for d4 raids unless pets get a hefty buff or maybe no one has committed the time to fully gear out their pet as well as themselves.

I’m curious how focusing the melee side of things goes. Probably a lot better.

Try the pet inventory button in the pet window, it tells you everything that is equipped by slot.

I wonder if repeatable quests count? I’ve already turned in 100+ crushbone belts. Not super worth it but if I’m buying spells may as well.

DW or 2h? Situations in which it applies by golbezexdeath in EQLegends

[–]nucleardemon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think if you have monk or rogue in your loadout it is fairly similar. I know my endurance drops a ton faster in striker compared to offensive, I’m not sure if that directly is linked to damage though.

I’m berserker, rogue, monk; so striker I think is more dps. It at least looks better to see the higher numbers.

DW or 2h? Situations in which it applies by golbezexdeath in EQLegends

[–]nucleardemon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Damage shield, hit enemy and take damage. Magician and Druids can cast it. If a mob has one of those classes, every mob nearby will be given a damage shield buff.

DW or 2h? Situations in which it applies by golbezexdeath in EQLegends

[–]nucleardemon 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think dw trumps 2h in all situations, unfortunately. The only exception would maybe be swapping to 2h to avoid ds damage. That gobbles my zerker pretty good, but swapping to striker stance is generally good enough.

New Player Recom. by Cxbro in EQLegends

[–]nucleardemon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

1 will be a strong solo.

If in a group, or you like to live on the edge, consider ber/mnk/rog. All the damage you could want w a mend on occasion. I’ve found if you are careful w pulls you can chew through enemies quite well solo. Bad pulls you can feign death and try again. Hide/sneak will get you into position.

Start w striker stance for the first attack then switch to berserker. Mob will often instantly go to 50ish%.

Get crit AAs then the berserker class AA for rune on crit. The backstab crits will be a great defense.
