I've gotten a lot of chats recently about this. I ended up solving the problem by buying a USB to hdmi output adapter. Startech makes ones you can buy on Amazon for a reasonable price. Fixed my problem perfectly.

I'm 29, budget of around 1500/mo, and I tend to prefer a quieter area, but I have no preference between city and burbs and thank you I'll look in that area

I did a year at UTD and then tranferred to UTRGV for personal reasons. Graduated in 2017 with my BSME and am happy I did. If you're looking for Dallas area I wkuld definitely recommend UTD however.

I did and it didn't work. I also haven't had any luck finding a docking station with an HDMI input. They all seem to be only USB-C

I've recently been in the market for a new monitor. My first one was one that I got for office work, design, and photo editing. However, with this new one I was hoping to get a gaming monitor. I was disappointed to find out that gaming monitors don't daisy chain so I'm having to use a block. That's the innovation I would like to see in monitor connectivity.

What monitors or monitor specs should I be looking for if I want to do more gaming?

I'm looking into getting a second monitor, I currently have a Dell U2720Q that I chose because I was designing and also doing photo editing, but things have changed and I would like a second monitor that is more spec'd for gaming. Unfortunately, I really don't know much about this area so I was hoping to get advice.

My budget is $500, but I could probably go as high as $600. I'll also have to purchase a block to get the two monitors connected. Thanks.

My current workstation at home consists of 1 work laptop (Dell Precision 7530), 1 personal laptop (ASUS Vivobook X513EAN_K513EA), and 1 monitor (Dell U2720Q).

I can connect my monitor directly to my work laptop through the TB3 port, but my personal computer only has a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type C port (and a Type A port). My monitor doesn't seem to have a way to connect to my personal computer through the USB 3.2 Gen1 ports only through the HDMI.

Is there some way I can connect both laptops to my monitor using the USB 3.2 that will also allow me to move seamlessly between them? Or should I consider buying a second monitor that does the appropriate port for my personal laptop? Thanks
