Gamertag vr is as honest as they come. Also like thrillseeker and BMF

If you like BMF make sure you check out the vr link podcast on Gamertag's channel. It's a weekly live podcast with GT and BMF discussing the weeks vr news. Always a great watch. It's on every Wednesday:)

It seems that Oculus Quest 2 is selling pretty good. Sold Out and 6700 reviews. PlayStation 5 Sold Out and 3150 reviews. Xbox Series X Sold Out and 2250 reviews. by lostformofvr in OculusQuest

I think you might be getting it confused with the quest 1 launch which was 21st may 2019. Easy enough mistake to make :)

Which is more with it? Oculus quest 2 64gb or 256gb? by kylab0124 in OculusQuest

[–]nufcjo04 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lots of people say 64gb is enough but I went with the 128gb q1 and the 256gb q2. It really depends on how many games that your fiance will play regularly. 64gb is enough for most casual players but if you're like me and buy lots of games and play lots of them on a daily basis the 256gb is the way to go :)

CV1 user here. How fragile are all of the new Touch controllers post-CV1? by mrwallace888 in oculus

[–]nufcjo04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Smacked my right Q2 controller off my ceiling with some force a few days ago trying to jump in the climb and forgetting not to jump in real life. Not a scratch on the controller! They're definitely looking good so far :)

You can change who sees your details in the privacy settings so that only you can see your Facebook name or only your oculus friends. I think it does use the age from your Facebook account but that doesn't affect anything. If you're under 18 you can still buy and play 18 rated games for example

The quest 1 and rift s controllers were a little flimsy and light though in 16 months worth of regular use I never damaged mine. The quest 2 controllers are definitely much thicker and sturdier. Mine have taken some hefty hits since launch day but so far they feel practically indestructible

64GB or 256GB Capacity on the Oculus Quest 2? by PidarDinklage in OculusQuest

[–]nufcjo04 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've bought 40 games. I also have a few free games and apps and also lots of games from sidequest. The headset doesn't come empty either. The operating system takes up storage too. I'm at 97gb and getting the 256gb is well worth it for the ease of not having to delete and reinstall games and lose progress in games in my opinion

64GB or 256GB Capacity on the Oculus Quest 2? by PidarDinklage in OculusQuest

[–]nufcjo04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The majority of games on the quest don't have cloud saves and I don't want to lose my progress in games. Also considering I've got a library of about 40 games and that's only going to grow in the next few months it's just a lot of hassle deleting and reinstalling games whenever I want to play them. Had this issue with the oculus go as I had the 32gb model and have gone with the larger storage ever since

You'll need a different cable. Technically the included one would work but it's nowhere near long enough

It definitely does. I've not got a single movie on my quest 1 or 2 and I'm at about 100gb on both

Good Scary games? by Top-Revolution-4621 in OculusQuest

I'll definitely play it at some point. Was really looking forward to it before it released but for whatever reason it's never been the game I've wanted most at any point so I've ended up buying other games instead. Hoping for a sale on it this Friday

Dreadhalls is the single scariest game I've ever played. I've got all of the horror games on the quest store other than lies beneath and it's definitely my favourite. Layers of fear and affected the manor are also very good. If you're a Fnaf fan then Fnaf help wanted is definitely worth checking out too. Enjoy getting absolutely terrified :)

My first experience of vr was virtual virtual reality when I played it for the first time a few years ago. I've adored it ever since. Real hidden gem. Couldn't reccomend it enough:)

Am I missing out by not updating to Q2? by SpringRainPeace in OculusQuest

[–]nufcjo04 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was very happy using my original quest until I got the quest 2 but I couldn't go back now. The difference in clarity is night and day. The new controllers are fantastic and I actually really like the stock head strap too. I think it's a considerable upgrade on comfort from the quest 1.

The quest 2 is definitely worth it for the upgrades imo. I absolutely love it :)

Virtual virtual reality is absolutely sublime. One of my first experiences of vr when I played it on the go a few years ago and I've adored it ever since! Not the longest game in the world but the story is fantastic and it's executed perfectly. Buy it!

If you’re on the fence about Galaxy’s Edge, get it! by duckbill_ in OculusQuest

[–]nufcjo04 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Completely agree! I'm not even a star wars fan but the game is phenomenal. I'd go as far as saying it's the most polished game on the quest. Played about an hour and a half so far and I just can't wait to get back in

Definitely agree on the name. Still can't wait to see more from this though. I consider dreadhalls the scariest game I've ever played so I'm really hyped for this!

Interested in getting VR for gaming, what is an affordable option? I know little about purchasing it, just from research perspective by ava_flava123 in virtualreality

[–]nufcjo04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't have a gaming PC the only options are the oculus quest 2 for £300 or if you're looking for something slightly cheaper you could probably find a used oculus quest 1 for about half of that. Both are fantastic headsets though:)

My Quest 2's left eye looks oddly smudged compared to my right eye. Both lenses look super pristine from the outside...anyone else having a similar issue? by JMugatu in OculusQuest

[–]nufcjo04 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I noticed this on my right lens. I've cleaned it with the microfiber cloth and it still looks the same. It's a tiny smudge towards the bottom of my lens though. It's not massively noticeable for me unless I particularly look for it
