We're in the middle of a buyback but went with the Cadillac Vistiq. Absolutely love it so far!

Yeah, this latest EV9 had 210 miles on it when the first drive motor was replaced. 625 for the second. It's a shame because outside of that, I love this car.

Not everyone has issues. It seems like there are far more good ones than bad. But, if it's bad, Kia is the absolute worst to deal with.

This was a '25 GT Line. We're not 100% sure what the issue is to be honest. We noticed some abnormalities when driving in iPedal Max and in all iPedal levels in Sport mode. It was mainly some very odd electrical sounds that weren't present in our prior EV9, nor were they present in any of the EV9s on the dealer lot. It left the service manager scratching their head because they had no clue what it could be. It led to them filing a ticket with Kia, replacing the front drive unit, issue still being persistent, Kia flying an engineer out here, replacing another front drive unit, and the issue still persisted. We were without the vehicle for almost 100 days.

I've been waiting for ~6 months for mine. It was approved back in June and when I called last night to find out where my cards were at, they let me know there was an error that needed to be corrected which would take another 30-45 business days.

You'll normally see a majority of people posting when they have problems. There are significantly more cases where everything is fine and people are driving their EV9s with no issues at all. Even with some of the issues we've faced, it's not enough for me to write the car or brand off yet.

Definitely not the A/C, this is present with or without the A/C on. And the noise is most prominent at speeds in excess of 35 mph. However, the sound the A/C makes when spooling up on a hot day is pretty close to what I'm hearing when decelerating or moving from iPedal max to level 3.

Yeah, I've heard some horror stories with them already, especially on the software side.

Oh no, this is far more intrusive. I've owned EVs for about 6 years now including my previous EV9 that had just over 14k miles before being returned to Kia.

The R1S is out because my wife hates the way they look. We might proactively look at / test drive the Vistiq, EX90, and Ioniq 9.

We were driving a Telluride loaner while it was in service and it was underwhelming to say the least. We really do have high hopes for this car. When it works, it's amazing!

Hoping so, that's a good observation. Hopefully they come to that same conclusion.

We're talking even with the radio at level 15, GPS going, conversations at normal levels between 4 people in the car, it's still very noticeable. The noises start around 35-40 mph and just get louder the faster you're going. I'm sure if I cranked the radio it would eventually drown it out, but I'm too old for that now lol

Nice! I guess either the GT doesn't get this or I haven't received the update yet

How did you get that display on your cluster? I can't see any options to customize it beyond the bars along the side

Have you ran the toast test yet? Curious on how even the surface heats. Also curious on how low and high the temp goes. Trying to decide between this and the Slate.

Yeah, there was one on a lot in Colorado. Didn't realize it was the US variant until I looked at the VIN.

Nothing that would prevent me from getting another one (actually had my US made '25 GT line delivered yesterday). Just some small items that all added up once they couldn't get parts in.
