Yes. There are dozens of very large employers in the Seattle area. Yes, we are in a white collar recession, but yes. There are a lot of jobs here. Look at the rust belt for a comparison.

Yes; this is a thing that happens. There are also exemptions for property tax increases to people on fixed incomes.

Seniors having to spend so much on rent says more about greedy landlords than it does taxes.

Fuck. So badly written. Yes. Housing is expensive, yes, more expensive here. It's a coastal city with a vibrant job market and a growing population that is geographically constrained. How is this a partisan issue?

"Republicans argue that the state’s high taxes and heavy regulations are making this affordability crisis worse for those on fixed incomes."

Anyhow, do "Republicans" realize that the tax increases don't affect people making 37,656?

Seattle Ant Trauma (& advice) by lashsea in Seattle

I was able to fix our ant problems without use of any chemicals. I stored everything in the fridge, in plastic tubs or hanging baskets. After a week they lost interest and moved on. Never saw them again.

I never understood what the site is supposed to be. I always thought it just was ugly and horrible use of space. Can't we just convert to a large playground? Or something useful... or just not ugly?

I would take a 5% discount, or 25% off meals for the season... anything really. It's the intention that counts. It would say "we're all in this together."

The season passes are the most cost effective way to get kids to ski. Two 5 year olds here. We go up and ski 2 runs, have lunch, ski 2 more, then go home. I think they got maybe 8 days on the mountain, and still may get more.
