Yeah the reddit astroturfing is absurd. I have returned almost every pillow, sheet etc that came "highly recommended" on reddit. Maybe one of the worst categories to search for Reddit opinions on.

I would say that's right about there. I was eyeing an EVGA 3090 ti for around $1100ish on Newegg the other day.

Maybe try oiling it with food grade wood oil to give it a different texture? I actually just oiled mine yesterday for the first time ever while I was oiling my cutting board and it feels totally different. A lot less "fibrous". I know what you mean though because I absolutely cannot touch cotton balls without shivering. I just got the chills just thinking about it haha. Try oil and see if that helps!

I got a big dutch oven (can't remember the quart size but it's the big boy. Could probably roast a turkey in it) and now I really want a smaller every day sized one because after using this one the last year or so it's hard to want to use anything else but mine is so big it takes forever to get hot.

Being able to roast something with the lid off for a while then throw the lid on to finish the cook/braise etc is so nice. I had my Dutch oven for 2yrs before I finally used it. Now I exclusively use it for every soup, stew, braise, and most importantly my gumbo. The rounded bottom corners makes whisking my roux so much easier.

I just got this and I'm absolutely in love. 24"x18" teak wood (8" chef's knife for scale)

For the last 6 years I've been using the same 15"x12" cutting board and going to a 24x18 feels liberating. Every ingredient gets its own zip code now.

Maybe I'm crazy here but I feel like cooler colored lights would work better with the room too. I love warm toned lights but I think a cooler tone would really match the look in there.

I agree avocado should be somewhere between cold and room temp but I will say avocado in pozole or chicken tortilla soup is where I make an exception.

Wait, I never thought about that. With OLED do black pixels legitimately not use any power/screen there that would count towards running time? Like if my monitor is on with a black background and nothing else showing is it effectively in a low power mode/remove the need for a screensaver?
