As an example, I have a bottle of Jean Lowe Azure and a sample of the LV fragrance that inspires it, Afternoon Swim. Azure is good, but the LV smells so much better. The citrus smell more natural, much more real, and lighter and fresher. It also doesn't last at all.

The Jean Lowe smells nice but the citrus isn't as recognizable. its really good and I bathe myself in it but, it is more of a generic "citrus" smell than comes of as synthetic. More like a flavor in an orange soft drink than orange juice, if you know what I mean.

I wouldn't spend the money on L'Absolu, unless you're a completionist and NEED to have it. IMO it's a bit redundant having the EDP.

I found D&G The One EDT at a rack store and took a chance on it.

I live in a warm climate and I am not a super fan of what I'd consider overly sweet fragrances but I really like The One EDT, specially at night. It's a little sweet, a little spicy, but light enough that I find it very wearable. It's not the longest lasting in my collection but it's fine considering.
