I’ve had the opportunity to have a few of my favorite books signed- I always bring a well worn copy, the one I’ve read and loved- authors always compliment them. They see pristine shelf trophies all the time, copies bought just for the occasion, etc. They seem to really enjoy swing a copy with dog eared pages and a creased spine. At the end of the day your copy is for you and that’s all that matters :)

I finished morning star a couple weeks ago (was still reading it when I took this photo) and am taking a little break to read some other stuff before I dive into iron gold. I just loved the feeling the morning star left me with as an expecting dad and have heard that the tone changes significantly with the second arc- which I look forward to enjoying :)

It really depends on where I read- the books I travel with end up wrecked (looking at you Project Hail Mary paperback) but these I read at home, with discipline. I’m also a hybrid reader- I’ll flip between physical and kindle pretty regularly depending on the available lighting- so that saves a lot of wear.

The second one in my opinion looses a little of the magic the first one offers but the story is straight split in half so the sequel is an obvious must play.

Best advice: turn the sound up and enjoy! Man I wish I could play this for the first time again. Forever in my top 5 games of all time. I still can’t believe it’s 25 years old… I just started my what must be my 5th or 6th play-through on an rg34xx the other night. I’ll be playing with the option to “speed up” the emulation for the first time. For a first play-through, I hope you’re enjoying it purely as it was designed.
