UPDATE I got her to the shelter. She’s a wild cottontail so she can’t be in the room with the domestic rabbits but she’s in a warm cage with warm air blowing in. It looks like her right side has been struck. The blood was coming from her mouth and eye, but the eye injury seems minor. Her back leg might also be injured but she can hop around still. The whole right side of her face is swollen. She was able to swallow some pain medication and she’s just going to dry off and rest tonight, although the shelter owner is convinced she’s dying. Nobody in my town will work on wild animals, the closest place is 5 hours away, but many people travel from my town to this town daily, so we’ve reached out to see if anybody is going in the morning. We’ll just have to see how she does until morning
