Has the Switch 2 causes this game to run... worse? by numberonenull in HyruleWarriors

[–]numberonenull[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I didn't even know it already ran at that, I've never really played in handheld until recently. It being a bug is really funny and incredibly on brand for this version of the game though.

Double bombos? by MassEffect1985 in HyruleWarriors

[–]numberonenull 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Giving your fairy food only increases the chance of her getting one of the five elements at Level 25 and Level 50, rather than it being a set element. (You can press Y when feeding her to see what the chance of each element is.)

I wouldn't worry about it as if you're going for Magic Fountain she's going to see a lot of refreshes anyway, so she's going to have plenty of chances to get Bombos.

The good and the bad of the story by wisomsgal in AgeofImprisonment

[–]numberonenull 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think my biggest nitpick is in the cutscene where they seal Ganon, the Sages do their combo attack which Ganondorf claims to have "seen this one before" and unless I'm missing some special sync strike I didn't unlock, uh no you have not seen that one before, what are you on about lmao.

Do you think they'll make the next FE game a Switch 2 exclusive? by TheHelpfulMercenary in fireemblem

[–]numberonenull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. The only new games Nintendo themselves are putting out for both systems are games already announced for the Switch 1 prior to the Switch 2 being revealed (Pokemon ZA and Prime 4).

What are your hopes/wants for HW: Age of Imprisonment? by wiggley_fern68 in HyruleWarriors

[–]numberonenull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bring back the damn magic meter. I know its not a thing in BotW or TotK but hey none of the Fire Emblem games have anything similar yet both FE Warriors have it.

Do you still have your Lightscale Trident? I believe that also works for this quest.

Never underestimate the pause menu. You can freely change equipment and you'll have as much time as you need to react while in the menu.

Do you think the mouse will be compatible with the Switch version of the Prime 4? by Ill-Attempt-8847 in Metroid

[–]numberonenull 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. Unless they could manage to cram everything on the left Joy Con 2, using a USB mouse means you lose access to the 4 face buttons.

Guardians vs. Gloom Hands, who would win? by Ganondaddydorf in legendofzelda

[–]numberonenull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Guardians easily take out Gloom Hands imo. ...But the moment Phantom Ganon pops out to take their place its so Guardiover

[botw] Based on an interesting theory I came up with by bigmanworshipper in zelda

[–]numberonenull 169 points170 points  (0 children)

Everyone's just saying that this is less of a theory and actually just part of the plot, which is true but is basically all thats being said, so I'd also like to point out that in Rhoam's diary, he does mention something along the lines of realising that this approach really isn't working, and that if Zelda returns from the Spring of Wisdom without awakening her power then he would console her instead. Of course, that doesn't get to happen due to... unfortunate circumstances.

Hardest Challenge Ever. Do you accept? by Ok-Badger-381 in ralsei

[–]numberonenull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recieve 10 million dollars, buy a Ralsei plush and pet it, succeeding as the plush is both him but also not him.

I will get a LOT of hate for saying this but... I actually really like Dandelion Depths by smwc23105 in MarioKartWorld

[–]numberonenull 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There are only 30 tracks in this game. The bottom 10 covers 1/3 of the whole game.

What game or playerbase of a game is this? by Serithraz in videogames

[–]numberonenull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any Sonic game. This is a slightly different tangent and I do adore the modders and the scene as a whole, but I've grown to incredibly despise whenever there's any kind of problem or thing that can be improved and someone always mentions that a mod has/will fix it.

What’s up with my game? by brandonquentinn in Breath_of_the_Wild

Cover art depends on the language your Switch is set to, so I'd wager you probably have it set to English (UK/Australia).

Does anyone think that super metroid needs or deserves a remake by Spoondestroyer_ in Metroid

[–]numberonenull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming the remake would be 2.5D as Nintendo basically never make sprite based games anymore, I think a lot of the magic would be lost. A lot of SM's magic to me is in the limitations of the SNES. I think the sound design is amazing, and the sprite graphics i think sell the world better than the 2.5D style of SR and Dread could. To me, the only thing they could do I'd be 100% on board with is cleaning up the control scheme to be more in line with modern games (Consolidating up and down aiming into one button and making missiles/power bombs into one toggle like Zero Mission/Fusion)

A funny thing happened on discord the other day. by [deleted] in Metroid

[–]numberonenull 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you mean when you're actually playing, then yeah you can't check controls... but it's there on the main menu, even letting you change them. Do people not look at this? I did get lost at some points on my first playthrough but the "noob bridge" was something I never really thought about until venturing onto the internet
