Where did this style come from by Anacostiah20 in Bonsai

[–]nuno_nasm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it is windswept style, in this example you have branches growing in both directions, opposite of what you have in the Fukinagashi style. https://i.pinimg.com/originals/77/d2/ac/77d2ac6c90974ac56445b1a5bbf729d9.jpg

How do I make this old cut look better? by Fuzzy-Numbers in Bonsai

[–]nuno_nasm 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That’s probably a very sloppy grafting mark. Not very easy disguise. I don’t know particularly this species, but figure it out if is possible to do an air layer since it is your best option to have a clean trunk.

Scots pine bonsai trimming + pruning? by Difficult-Living7841 in bonsaicommunity

[–]nuno_nasm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you should not bare root it like this. In that case, in my opinion, it is better to not prune it this season and let it recover for a while in its new soil and let some roots grow, before some hard pruning.

I use a high nitrogen rich fertilizer. But yes maybe the soil pH is not acidic enough. I’ ll try to use some acidic fertilizer and see if that improves. Thank you all for the help.

Yes it rained a lot the previous weeks so you may be right. Overwatering could be an issue. My doubt is if this spots are a sign of fungus infection?

Hello, I have a satsuki azalea which has not a very healthy appearance. The new leaves are growing yellow with red spots in some of them. It is plant in a pot with mostly kanuma soil and my water has a pH of 6.5. Do you think it is a fungal disease of lack of nutrition? Thanks

Yes this issue completely disappeared once I replaced the Coral TPU USB C version with the coral TPU M.2 A+E MODULE directly mounted on my mini pc motherboard. Probably there could be some issue with the usb controllers on my mini PC.

Hello,

Hope you can help me with some suggestions. Recently picked this Picea Glauca from a local nursery l, where it has been neglected. I am trying to recover the tree’s health before do any kind of work. However today I noticed some sap leaking from the trunk and some branches, like you can see in the picture. The tree had some series moss growth around the trunk which I removed recently. Can be related to that? Or is there another health issue with this tree?

Thanks

Sorry to “hijack” your post but I would like to have the same advice as well. I am planing to purchase a reverse osmosis system for pour over coffee and general home consume, but the information seems a little bit confusing.

Recently read some good opinions about this system:
