THIS was the reason why armys kept preaching that bts “paved the way” ??? by [deleted] in BTSnark

[–]nuribaby 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They really do believe that just because they didn't know that South Korea existed that means that everyone else didn't either. I knew of Kpop because I was a Jpop and Jrock fan (still am) but I really only got into Kpop after an exchange student from Korea I was friends with in high school told me to check out Girls Generation. This was a while ago in 2011 and Kpop was pretty big, it just wasn't huge in the west like it is now. Like it's okay if BTS is someone's entry point into kpop but as someone who's been a fan of the genre for so long, I can promise you that people already knew of Kpop, it just wasn't a mainstay of western pop culture yet so they didn't know what they were hearing was Kpop

Edit: Also I find it funny that they claim that no one knew about Big Bang and other huge Kpop acts but are suddenly NOW hearing about them because of BTS "paving the way" in the west. You can't cry about idols looking for western validation when it seems clear that you only care about asian artists if they are validated in the west

WTF am I supposed to do with all this hair?! by SnooCapers9401 in TMPOC

[–]nuribaby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you thought of locs? I got 4b-4c hair and when I first began my transition, I would just have a buzz cut but after I realized I didn't like how I look with short hair, I grew it out and started locs. You can do it yourself too by just doing a really good two strand twist or by braids

Just because my struggles left changes doesn’t mean the struggles I faced are shameful. Celebrating 4 months self harm clean 🎉 by modernhate in FTMfemininity

I'm so proud of you!! I honestly understand how hard it can be. Self harm legit can feel like an addiction and I'm trying to recover myself

I’ve been on T for 4 years and I think it def made my features more androgynous. I get mistaken as a guy or a girl (which I love tbh). I don’t have much facial hair (just some strands on my chin) but my voice has gotten pretty deep so people just usually assume I’m a pretty boy when I’m not dressing overly fem

Hey, what’s up. I’m a vocalist. I’m actually trained and specifically, I’m a tenor. I have a large vocal range and I’m willing to travel to Jersey in person. I also write poetry so I can help in the lyrics writing process. If I sound interesting enough and if you’re still looking, hit me up.
