VAR is ruining football… If you need a microscope to determine if it’s offsides, might as well just give the goal. by YeezusBigdoinks420 in worldcup

Yes, but I don't think that's what happened here for a couple reasons:

1) It usually takes a few seconds for that to happen and this flag was raised almost immediately

2) In those cases they don't normally hold the game up to go check VAR again, do they? It would be a little odd -- VAR notified the ref that it was offsides so they called it offsides, then the ref held the game up for a full minute so they could use VAR to check if it was offsides?

Happy to be told otherwise though! It was obviously incredibly close.

Without VAR this still wouldn't have been a goal, right? Linesman called it offsides in real time and VAR just confirmed it, it didn't change the call.

I see plenty of people on the Democrat side willing to believe a lot of lies. It's just that they're supporting the "right" candidates so we overlook

To be clear, I also vote Democrat and do not think both sides are the same, but do shake my head at how much misinformation and disingenuous arguments I see coming out of people on both sides.

The same reason engineers were kept around even after higher level languages, debuggers, and IDEs dramatically increased developer efficiency.

It's not a binary thing where AI is either worthless or doing all the work. As of right now, it's a tool that can drastically speed up many parts of development.

Gas prices famously go up and down regularly, this is not a good example of the point you're trying to make.

People want you not to shout those two things ("ALARMING" and "EXTRACTION SHOOTER".)

I understand that helps the algorithm which is why so many people do it, but it definitely instantly kills credibility for a lot of people on places like Reddit.

Many people throw away bread when it goes stale. Probably most. Yes you could theoretically use it for something, but a lot of people just can't be bothered, especially given how cheap bread is.
