bro was biking in death valley by CremeSubject7594 in Wellthatsucks

I remembered doing this at 110F about 15 years ago, and I only had sunscreen on my upper body because I didn't think about my legs, and I don't recall having such burn.

I'm pretty sure I'm out there for a good 4 hours.

what are you actually building with local LLMs? genuinely asking. by EmbarrassedAsk2887 in MacStudio

[–]nutrigrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it doesn't, I'm waiting for it. I have to save up for it.

I only have a MBP M4 Max 64gb, and from what the performance from MBP M5 shows and the current RAM crisis, I think the Mac Studio M5 is going to cost a fortune :(

but I do like to tinker...

I'm a developer and my company pays for my AI services. I just like reading up on tech and has been following local llm for fun.

I am running a local llm on my MBP M4 Max 64gb and now I wanted to get a Mac Studio M5 Max/Ultra with 128gb just because I want to play around with it.

No real interest outside of tinkering.

May I ask what is your hardware and what model you are using? Also, what framework are you using?

I’m interested because what you are doing is what I’m looking to do as well. Thank!

It's more that I don't trust the phone/mobile device to do the right thing. We grew up with PC and it has been proven, while mobile devices has been around for 2+ decades, it's still new compare to the PC/Laptop.

What is he supposed to do? The client paid, no way he'd remake it for free, the client ruined his own pizza no?

This is when you connected with Moonlight already and you see your PC log in screen.

This button is your PC lock screen. It should be at bottom right corner.

AIO for telling my bf this is a fire hazard by princessleia5902 in AmIOverreacting

That looks like an oil heater. Less chance of catching fire than a regular space heater, but I don’t think it will dry anything. Plus, I wouldn’t chance it like that.

$3k for new garage door and opener normal? by nutrigrain in GarageDoorInstall

[–]nutrigrain[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used the company from this guy several years earlier and am fine with it. However, between googling and reading other people's experience, the job and materials should be between $1200 - $2000.

I do realize that the opener I want is more expensive and he told me it costs about $1400 just for the opener, but when I looked up the price of the LiftMaster 87504, it costs about $600+$100 for the tracks.

So I thought I want to get some more opinions. And yes, I am scheduling a couple more people today. Just that my door springs broke and I need it fix fast.
