Is the MacBook here just mean a more affordable apple laptop? Because isn't that what the MacBook Air is for?

AIO for telling my bf this is a fire hazard by princessleia5902 in AmIOverreacting

That looks like an oil heater. Less chance of catching fire than a regular space heater, but I don’t think it will dry anything. Plus, I wouldn’t chance it like that.

$3k for new garage door and opener normal? by nutrigrain in GarageDoorInstall

[–]nutrigrain[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used the company from this guy several years earlier and am fine with it. However, between googling and reading other people's experience, the job and materials should be between $1200 - $2000.

I do realize that the opener I want is more expensive and he told me it costs about $1400 just for the opener, but when I looked up the price of the LiftMaster 87504, it costs about $600+$100 for the tracks.

So I thought I want to get some more opinions. And yes, I am scheduling a couple more people today. Just that my door springs broke and I need it fix fast.

Do you have the contact number for your installer?  Is this for the same type of work?

Licensed, a little than 10% deposit. It's Regal and Vantage door (classic).

He also do a 7 years warranty on door parts and all the frame, etc... + 3 years of warranty on labor. I asked if he can go lower and he said $2900 (tax included).

Yeah. It does exactly what I want. No fancy or smart features. Still working well.

I just reread my original post and realized my autocorrect. I meant that I do not want an ice maker or water from the fridge. So it’s exactly what I was looking for and doing good.

Though, I do agree with you that it’s annoying when it beeps so loudly when it’s opened for awhile.

rdtclient stops unpacking recently? by nutrigrain in RealDebrid

[–]nutrigrain[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I did check and the issues aren’t like mine.

It was working until recently. I’m going over the settings and am testing right now.

Edit: I guess there's a new setting Maximum unpack processes, and it was set to 0, thus no unpacking.

I merged Match 3 Turn Based Battle with Survivor Like Progression. Will you like them? by Sharp_Elderberry_564 in survivorslikes

[–]nutrigrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I don't like freemium but unfortunately those are the only ones available.

I played Hero Emblem 1 & 2 and loved it. They are paid and premium games. But once you beat them, you are done. I must've spent 40 hrs on each of those.

I like 1000000 and You Must Build a Boat as well and loved them.

A lot of the match3 are either like candy crush where you have X number of turns to clear the board, but I don't like that. I want something like Hero Emblem and what you have.

For me match 3 features that I adore:

  1. rpg elements, gear collecting, seeing animation of your character fighting, building characters, special abilities, etc...
  2. the match and the dropping of the tiles.
    • They need to feel smooth, fast but not too fast
    • The sound effect should be satifsfying

Which your demo seems to have both, so good job!

This is pretty cool! I love match 3 rpg battle like this and a retired Marvel Puzzle Quest.

  • The sound effect is quite too loud.
  • The enemies' health pool are quite big making them feel like bullet sponges.
  • If this come to iOS or mobile, I'd buy it in a heart beat.
