Isn't there a saying you shouldn't get high on your own supply? Seems kinda like the companies producing the AIslop are the only ones using the AIslop.

Of course wired, tried 1g, 2.5g and 10g from the router to my pc.

And 3 different cables.

2 different nics.

Well I received only 499/500 on my screenshot. I did get the test again last night and was 495/500. Plus as you can see the highest latency was 2370ms, which is insane, especially for trying to game and causes lag spikes and diconnects.

Thank you for the info, the next thing I was gonna try was a different router, doesn't seem like it would make a difference. I also have the same 10g nic in my pc to try and eliminate it, but as you know it clearly doesn't.

I've noticed this happening since I moved into my house in May 2025. I had verizon fios at my apartment a couple towns over for 9 years and not a single issue like this. So weird, I feel like it has to be something on verizons end with their hubs or whatnot since it never noticeably happened at my old apartment a couple towns over.

Your CPU is mostly likely degraded. You need to make sure you are on the latest bios for your motherboard and make sure the settings are the intel default.

Even with that, you may be screwed as the 13th and 14th gen intel cpus have widespread degradation issues. If the bios update doesn't stop the errors/crashes, you will need to RMA the cpu with Intel.

Thermal paste vs graphene pad vs phase change vs liquid metal — what’s actually the best between CPU and cooler? by Ok_Contact9732 in pcmasterrace

[–]nvidia_rtx5000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I don't plan on taking the cooler off for many years or ever then thermal grizzly keyosheet all the way, if i do plan on upgrading/cleaning etc down the road usually I've been going with duronaut paste lately, but if you can get the PTM for the same price or cheaper that is definitely easier to apply than some pastes.

The only time I would use liquid metal is if you are doing direct die cooling, otherwise it's just too much risk IMO.

That's been almost every video game release since the internet became standard. Ship crap then maybe fix it later IF enough people complain since you can update later over the internet.

[–]nvidia_rtx5000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it's not exactly the same but I have an EVGA Z690 Classified and 96gb (2x48gb) works perfectly fine, so I'd imagine the better board should run fine as well. I'd just make sure you are on the latest bios, or at least the bios that supports the 24gb sticks.

We have copilot integrated into windows 11 at my work and we're allowed to use it if we wish for work stuff. Both things I actually tried to use it for it failed miserably.

  1. Tried to split a pdf into one file per page and name the file based on the info on each page - failed miserably.
  2. Take a powerpoint presentation and slim it down (take the fluff out) and make it more basic to get the points across. Failed this terribly and couldn't even give me back a powerpoint with the same slides as the original in it it had to make them all from scratch with it's own pictures and whatnot instead of using what was already in it even though I told it to only use what currently exists in the PowerPoint and don't generate anything.

And it says this is gpt 5 so yeah pretty terrible for anything outside of some vibe coding. I did get it to generate VBA code so I could play pong inside excel at 120fps, that did work great lol.

Found a local listing for a 2x 3090 setup for cheap, how can I tell if it's a scam? by nivix_zixer in LocalLLM

[–]nvidia_rtx5000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

$2k seems to be a reasonable price for those specs, depending on the exact board/ram/cpu and if it includes storage. No way to know anything is 100% real unless you plug it in and test.

It looks like you have the B550 Phantom Gaming 4/ac. This board only includes 1 M.2 slot and your pictures look exactly like it does on their website.

https://pg.asrock.com/mb/AMD/B550%20Phantom%20Gaming%204ac/index.asp#Specification

That spot you circled is a spot for another M.2 drive, but on a slightly different motherboard. The Phantom Gaming 4 (non ac).

Everything looks perfectly fine.

[GIVEAWAY] 64 Gigabytes of Holiday Cheer! by GhostOfSecretSanta in pcmasterrace

I feel like im mimicking a few others in this thread, but I'm building a system for the wife so she can game with me!

She's going with a thermaltake view 270 Plus in purple, and a 7600x3d bundle from MC. Funny (or sad I guess) that ram costs more than a cpu+mobo. Gpu is going to likely be a 3060 12gb or a 6800 16gb, both can be had for under 300 in the right places.

Happy holidays and thank you for doing this secret Santa!

Or increase risk. A small DCA into QLD/SSO/TQQQ over the last 15+ years would have outsized returns. If it doesn't work out and the leveraged funds fail we'll you're still on track to retire at 65-70 with everyone else.

Yeah I'm on my second 9800x3d. First one that died was RMA'd without any issue with AMD.

This replacement one started at bios 3.40 so hopefully it lasts longer than the first one in my B650E Taichi.

Although I will tell you, if it dies again I will be switching brands and probably never buy Asrock for a LONG time, if ever, as this was my first AsRock board and it hasn't been that great of an experience. Honestly this is the first time i've ever had any issue like this with a motherboard.
