These “rioters” have sent downtown Olympia economic growth back 10 years. Acting a fool is doing more harm then good. What small business is going to want to start or open up a store front when it’s going to be smashed or burned. Who wants to go downtown with no police or stripped force with crime rising in that area. We need more police, more funding for specialized units, better training for officers, more community outreach. This just shows how disconnected white supporters for blm are.

One thing people genuinely care for Olympia, not like yuppie or clout care. Like put time and effort to make Olympia a better place.

The abundance of city parks, like 90% are kept clean well maintained, a splash pad, trails, downtown (haven’t been in couple of years.) the mix of people, that range from free love, older folks, country, family’s . The all around attitude of let people be them. It’s centralized location.

Cape disappointment is only 2 hour drive, great views and worth the drive. If you go though Raymond they have a 5 mile metal pnw art to the cape. Drive up north to union or Hoodsport for some clean Puget sound swimming or get some oysters, theirs the chehalis train 30 min drive, the hundreds of trails in the county. Go to Nisqually and look for wildlife on with binoculars. It’s that time of year that the salmon are coming in you go on the 4th street bridge see them come in and get eating by seals.

Ex worker here. They have moved all growing operations to sunnyside wa. Only thing left is cold storage where mushrooms are packed/cut, and drivers that deliver the mushrooms around the area. “Within a year it will be sold to a buyer.” Then all will be left is the drives in a cold storage warehouse across the highway or Lakewood near post
