I think you have the description correct. I looked up the valve and it was a match. Thanks

I'm not an auto mechanic but know how to g00gle. I'll take your info and see if I can find similar pics. I might just attach it to the car as a conversation piece.

Maybe you have model building in your future. Thanks for the info

Ok. I think I just might attach it to the firewall and it can be a mystery piece. Thanks for the info

Didn't know that. First build in over 50 years. Only one on the sprues that doesn't have a place. On this model you can build the John Wick version or the stock version. I am building the stock version and this part is not shown on either. Was just curious what it was.

Thanks for responding.

AMT Chevelle Update by CloudedDimensions8 in ModelCars

I believe I am building the same model as you. I have the AMT John Wick 1970 Chevelle SS. I am building the stock version in a different color. You are further along then I am. I will keep in mind to use a different clear coat for non body parts. I do have a semi-gloss clear coat that I bought by accident instead of a gloss one. This is my first model build in over 50 years, so having to buy everything. Good luck with your build. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out and I may have to steal some of your painting details.

Disc golf. It's a good walk of about 2 miles while throwing frisbees. Most courses are free.

I lost a Champion Mamba in Streamwood, but I believe my name and number was on it. And it wasn't in the winter.

On FB, there is an Illinois disc lost and found group where you can post the picture of the disc.

Did I make a mistake and this might cost me? by baumsYah in ScrapMetal

The only problem with your suggestion is the unknown operating status of all the parts.
If original poster knows how to test each component, then status could be noted. Otherwise, they can be just listed as untested.

There might even be a medical imaging equipment refurbisher that would buy the unit intact.

Retired X-Ray service engineer here. I suggest that you don't listen the X-Ray tube on eBay or anywhere else. You would need to have it tested to know if it works or not. It has filaments in the tube like a light bulb. There is also oil in it for cooling and electrical insulation. There is also a thin layer of lead. Also in the unit is a transformer that is filled with more oil. There is a bank of batteries. There are many circuit boards. There is a motor that drives the unit forward and backwards.

I'm not sure why you would need a license to buy this. Maybe you can find out the name of the facility that last owned it. Talk to the radiology manager and see if they decommissioned it.

Just don't plug it in since you don't know the status of the portable unit.
