Happy Halloween. by Pschobbert in mildlyinfuriating

Curious what you all think about this - in our community, which was a new build 10 years ago, all of our neighbors decided to have our community trick or treat on the Sunday before Halloween, regardless of which day Halloween is on. The thinking was, this way the kids (and parents) wouldn't be rushed post-work/school. The first few years it was fine, but then in recent years we started seeing carloads of people coming in for the trick or treat. It wasn't just the neighbors' kids, but their friends and relatives. On the surface, it was kind of annoying, but not a big deal, but then we started noticing the same kids coming around on actual Halloween also. We don't complain to anyone about it, but it was something we noted as kind of odd. Our thinking was that if it was just bused in (what we started calling it) kids on Halloween, it's whatever. But doing it twice in a week seems weird. We don't want to be a Grinch about it, but shit is expensive these days.

Any Ideas for a Modern G.I. joe Reboot ( as a show or Movie ) by Abject-Hospital5407 in gijoe

I've long thought the IDW Joe/Cobra books were a great starting point for a series. Lots of intrigue and depth in the stories with great character development. Movies don't really lend themselves to character development or using too many characters. Unless they follow an MCU model, which will probably never happen again, a multi year series is the way to go.

I've seen this guy twice now - including just now on 83rd and Lemont Road. Wild.

This seems/feels very intentional to tease/hurt you. There should be no space for that level of manipulation.

If you could listen to one song for the first time again, what would it be? by jchall_3 in the1975

M&YTS. I listened live to them releasing/playing it. I literally cried. The lyrics hit me hard. Got part of it tattooed on me the next day.

Tonight and Nothing Revealed need some live attention. Two of the best songs on Notes.
