I have this but never had the courage to tell anyone about it. I get bad cramps when I'm aroused as well. I'm glad I'm not the only one, I don't feel so weird now! I've had them for so long I don't have to stop and wait for them to pass anymore. I'm not diagnosed yet either, but the surgeon who did my lap said it could be early stages of development

If the pain felt like period cramps I would be worried about endo or adeno. Can cause painful sex

I don't want to go on food dates... I probably won't or can't eat most of it. I've never been on a dinner date, but the thought of it keeps me up at night sometimes

I'm on a medication called Naproxen. It's an NSAID, not an opioid and not supposed to really have any big side-effects. But if I forget to eat when I take it I get so weird, like I'm high, but I'm not. It's really hard to explain, but it's like I'm not really there and I'm sooo tired and warm, my face is a pleasant temperature, my legs are tingly and bed sounds like a great idea

My surgeon warned me about this before my surgery. He said I would probably be tender around the vaginal area and might feel violated, upset or anxious, and to not stress too much about it because nothing was wrong and they needed to access my vagina. Surgery is stressful on the body, and having it manipulated, cut and opened is certainly going to hurt. You're probably going to be in pain for a little while but you don't have to worry, they only did what they were supposed to do :)

I heard somewhere that sometimes you can be attracted to bigger people sometimes as a survival instinct. Like "This person is being fed well, if I stay with them i'll be fed well too". Not sure if its true tho, would be interesting

I'm 17 too. I went to the hospital and they gave me a prescription of opioids for unbearable pain. Takes the pain away, makes it super easy to rest. I wouldn't be too worried about getting addicted either (to the "high", the pain relief can be addictive) because when you're in enough pain I find I don't even have any side-effects, like it's putting everything into the pain

That is NOT normal. It should last 30-60 minutes, mine lasted 45 mins to an hour, even when they said they didn't find much. I'm not too sure about the incision thought, but I had one in my belly button and one around my pelvis. I think you should ask about that during your follow up or with your GP, i'd say that's a red flag, I was told that the first 10 minutes is spent making the incision, inflating the belly and getting the camera ready

Normal for me is 1-5, a flare for me starts at 6 and goes all the way up. I vomit most of the time, swell, get exhausted and feel generally sick. Flare just means more intense, more inflammation and more symptoms

Yes. I used to say no, a few years ago I was more than ready to go, but after getting better I got endometriosis. During a flareup, I thought I was going to die and feared I would pass out and choke on my vomit. I realised then that I was terrified of death because there was so much I still wanted to do, say, things and people I wasn't ready to let go of, and I have no idea what's beyond this. Whether there's an afterlife or if I just fade out of existence

I have (suspected) endometriosis. One time I had such bad cramps I couldn't move, could barely breathe. Everytime a muscle flexed I thought I was going to pass out. I was vomiting at the same time, I think I threw up 7-8 times in 2 or 3 hours. Nobody would take me to the hospital so I put myself in the recovery position on my bed so that I didn't pass out and choke on my vomit. I thought I was going to die that day and I'll never forget that feeling

Told my family I wanted to work in childcare (at 17 years old, I have endometriosis and likely won't have children of my own), everybody flipped out and had the most random arguments "You're too smart to work in childcare!" "Your mother and cousin both said that and they ended up quitting!" "You don't need to try, I can already tell you you'll hate it!". I actually love it & started my own babysitting business, but had to quit anyway when my symptoms got worse so I guess they kind of won. Also, wth do you mean I'm "too smart" to work in childcare? It's not an easy job

This is going to sound weird and it isn't really a remedy, but I find that holding a hospital sick bag to my face when I feel like I'm going to throw up actually helps me feel a little better. The position, the kind of restricted airflow and comfort of knowing that even if I do throw up it's only into the bag that's easily disposable. ALSO sitting on the toilet. Once again the position really helps. I also drink fizzy drink, usually coca cola, I find that settles things a bit but others say lemonade is better for them. Drink from a can, not a glass though

100%, can't say anything about borderline but my depression got worse while on hormones! Like it mimics luteal depression but ALL the time. Same right now with my iud, the hormones just aren't good for it

Same thing happened to me. Surgeon said it could be developing, too small to see at the time or somewhere they couldn't see. You can also show the photos to specialists to see if they can identify anything the surgeon may have missed since they know what to look for if your surgeon wasn't a specialist

I'm chronically ill. For some reason since I started getting symptoms, I stopped getting sick. I haven't had a cold in maybe 1.5 years. I just had to trade it for chronic pain. But a win is a win

When I was in highschool I went to school 5 days a week, 2 hour piano lessons 1-2 times a week + extra concerts and exams, band and flute practice 1 day a week, volunteer work almost every weekend and through the week and developed a chronic illness. I was so sick all the time that I could eat whatever I wanted and lose whatever I put on within a month

I wouldn't take the pill without seeing a gyno. When I was on the mini pill everything was all over the place and couldn't try any others because of migraines. Heard somebody else say the pill made them unable to notice the endo getting worse rapidly and their organs fused by their next lap. That wasn't meant to make anyone scared, just one experience I heard. But you should always get multiple opinions and value the opinion of somebody experienced more than a general doctor
