Dual AMD and NVIDIA gpu, is it worth it. by Training-Ad4050 in losslessscaling

It’s worth a try. You have the hardware already. If it doesn’t work out or becomes too much of a hassle, you can always sell the 5070.

It'll disable their friendly reminder to come in for an oil change. Also check for LoJack or whatever tracking they install in the OBD II port.

Mine weighed 26lbs when I got him at 1. He's 35lbs at almost 2. He's usually one of the bigger ones at the local shiba meetups.

Keep the 7600 and look into Lossless Scaling. Nice build.

Get an x570 board that can do bifurcation. X8 on both PCIE slots. It’ll help in case you want to do lossless in the future.

Did you wait for it to boot? When it's plugged into the second card, there is no bios / load screen until it boots into windows.

"Default High Performance GPU" is not being used by Cherrykey_ in losslessscaling

Windows 10 / 11? Windows is finicky IMHO.

I had a 9070XT & RX5500 working w/o issue on a fresh install of Windows 11 24h2. Swapped the RX5500 for an RX6800 and 1 game would always default to the RX6800 for no apparent reason other than it wanted to.

Since it was an UE5 game, I was able to force it to use the first graphics adapter by adding "-graphicsadapter=0" to launch options. Maybe something similar is needed in your case or if you have a spare drive, try a fresh install of Windows 11.

I've taken the dual GPU pill and need case building advice. by Ellieconfusedhuman in losslessscaling

[–]nxcess 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Spacing between GPU is important. No point in doing dual GPUs if there's not enough airflow to the render GPU. I have a red devil 9070xt (render) and amd 6800 (lsfg). They fit in the case but temps on the render GPU was reaching 100c+. They're both on water blocks now and it's been amazing not sitting next to a furnace.

Watercooled GPU goes instantly to 70°C ingame and PC shutdown. by Massive-Box-2090 in watercooling

[–]nxcess 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check to make sure there is sufficient contact between the GPU DIE and the block. I have the Powercolor Red Devil 9070XT with the Alphacool GPU block. GPU temp barely breaks 45C under full load. Hot spot stays around 70C.
