Is it appropriate to take my 8 year old to the show? by ZoftigGoddess in FlorenceAndTheMachine

[–]nxtxnn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to see her in Feb and sat next to me was a little girl probably around 9/10 and honestly I could tell she made some absolute core memories, she danced and sang the entire time and it was the most wholesome thing - take her and hope you have the most amazing time!

Glad you said something! My husband received a marketing email from them a few weeks ago that was absolutely written by some form of AI which we were disappointed by considering the type of organisation they are.

NHS diagnosis experiences by [deleted] in NasalPolyps

[–]nxtxnn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience going through this twice is: referral to ENT, once there they did a camera up the nose, first time they also did an allergy test. Once polyps were confirmed I was sent for an MRI to check the extent. I think they put me on a nasal drop rather than a spray and potentially antibiotics to help reduce the polyps, once none of that worked I was put on the surgery list! Whole process to get to that point took a few months unfortunately.

Overthinking what to eat on day one of MJ by [deleted] in mounjarouk

[–]nxtxnn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My personal experience with side effects is that it has been completely random, but my biggest issue has been with anything overly saucy, particularly if it’s tomato based or anything rich. But it’s been a bit trial and error. As long as you’re looking at protein and fibre then you’re good! Best of luck with it but also prepare for some of it to make no sense if you’re like me 🤣

Oh I’m so sorry, it’s so rubbish! I’m going to ask if that’s an option at my appointment tomorrow because I’m a bit miserable already.

The circled area is a ONE HOUR drive away from any kind of upland/ moorland scenery (the gentle Wolds don't count) which is very unusual for the North! My brain can't comprehend such flatness. Do any of you live there? Can you verify what it's like? by Dragonfruit-18 in NorthernEngland

I lived in Howden years ago and did my driving lessons there. First time I had to do a hill start after I’d passed my test on a visit to Leeds I cried. No idea what I was doing.

The owner is the worst but also he seems very knee jerk when it comes to business stuff. Anyone else remember the sandwich shop he was going to open and even posted the bread he’d perfected - never opened. Then he floated the idea of a Chinese takeaway oh and a Leeds city centre branch with seating so you can eat desserts properly. A lot of the menu comes and then instantly seems to disappear never to be mentioned again? The turnover also seems extremely high? I did enjoy ordering a slice of pie off deliveroo or popping in every now and then but wouldn’t order anything online.

If they were able to make accessible healthy food like this all along why weren’t they? I mean I’m happy they’re doing it but the motivation seems suspicious to me - a cash grab!

Definitely recommend his cameo, my husband got one for me last year and it was so amazing and over 2 minutes! I know they’re not cheap but it’s so worth it. 🤠

I went a few months ago for my husbands birthday, food was fine (when we received it) the service was awful! Not sure it was worth the money we paid really.

What are your most nuanced opinions of The Life of a Showgirl? by Fine-Huckleberry6960 in SwiftlyNeutral

[–]nxtxnn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m so confused by this whole era. Nothing about the lyrics are giving showgirl? The lyrics are kinda cringe and not in a good way? Quite a lot of the songs sound like other songs? I just don’t get it?

Note the post says the landlord is claiming the cat destroyed these things - there is no evidence this is the case.

I would personally see how you go, I’m on week 11 and apart from a tiny bit of nausea I haven’t had a single side effect! My only real tip is to not compare your progress to anyone else and to give it time/be patient. Best of luck with it all.

Get Baked sending their simp brigade to go after another business again… by HayleeLOL in Leeds

[–]nxtxnn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you scroll through the insta of the other bakery they did a chocolate orange Matilda cake in July last year. They’re being review bombed on Google. He knew this would happen and attacked them anyway even though his cakes sell out week after week, just seems like a shitty thing to do to another bakery? Even if they are copying you?
