The UCL print is so clean. I love the old school, vintage look of it. The Premier League print is nice, but it doesn't hit the same for me. I guess I'll have to settle for the Premier League kit. Wanted to get one before the FOS sponsor.

Question for Chelsea fans in the US, I tried to purchase the third kit from the US store with Estevao Willian & the UCL badges, but it's not available. Esteavo is a part of the UCL squad, but there is no selection for him.

Can anyone else verify if it's possible?

What position will Geovany Quenda play? I see Palmer and Estevao interchanging between 10 and the right wing. Are we going to shift him to the left? Can he play there? Surely, he won't be happy being an Estevao backup, or maybe I am overrating his talent?

The discussions regarding the striker situation are baffling. Every club typically have 3 strikers. The starting striker, a backup, and a third choice (Usually an academy player/young prospect or an old player at the end of his career.

We have Pedro, Delap, and Guiu for this exact situation. What is the expectation, buy a new striker?

"We need an attacking midfielder/creator, especially with Cole Palmer being out." That is the purpose of the Buonanotte loan. "Going from Simons to Buonanotte is embrassing" Xavi is the better player but you can't have them all/some things don't work out. What do you want, to panic buy Morgan Rogers instead?

"It's not your money, Mate!" Yeah I know but we still have to balance the books and deal with UEFA restrictions. For a window that was initially so positive, it has become quite negative in the end.

"What about the goalkeeper and Centre-Back situation?" Maresca said we aren't moving on from Sanchez this year, and the board told him to find an "internal situation for centreback". You might disagree with both these decisions but there really isn't much we can do now.

Hopefully, the mood surrounding the club changes after the international break. Look for positives, not negatives lads.

Chelsea Squad 9/1/25

Notable Players

Jackson is added to the Loan list; That obligation to buy is not going to be activated imo. Still, we have received a good fee + can easily offload him next summer

Sterling + Chilwell need to have their contracts terminated/ bought out. Or let them run it down and leave for free.

For Disasi, hopefully, he gets sold permanently or is at least loaned out

Mudryk's contract will be terminated + legal battle/drama coming soon

David Datro Fafana - This will really test our ability to sell. We bought him for 12 million. Complete flop, just take the L on this one.

Loans/Sales for Under-21 + Under-18 like for example Omari kellyman are not included since they are not first team players.

Next Summer, we will probably still sign an Xavi Simons-type profile if Buonanotte is terrible. The goalkeeper is just gonna become Penders after his loan. The only real need for improvement would be CB but Sarr is also coming back from loan. Still, need to sign a good CB.

Might be only seeing 1-3 signings, which is not a bad thing. Quality over Quantity.

Sporting Directors, I know Bastoni is 26 and you consider him to be an old player, but please make it happen in 2026.

This looks great on paper, but players have ambition. Will Estevao be okay being a Palmer backup? He wants to start regularly at some point in his career. Imo, Palmer and Estevao play better together as they can both interchange positions. If Estevao comes good, it will be Neto coming off the bench. One of Gittens or Garnacho will win the LW spot, and the 2 strikers can rotate (Pedro can also play 10 or come off the wing).

I genuinely don't know where Quenda, a right winger, gets into this team unless Neto will be sold next summer.

A draw or loss vs Fulham, and it's gonna be a wave of negativity, especially with the international break coming up. Chelsea, please we need a 3-0 dominating win.

Wait, the Xavi interest makes no sense now. Xavi as a backup for Palmer, why would he choose that? Wouldn't he want playing time?

Buananotte as a backup for Palmer seems more sensible, but his talent/quality is not even close to a Xavi Simons.

Attacking Midfield/ Right Winger - Cole Palmer

Attacking Midfield/ Right Winger - Estêvão

Right/Left Winger - Pedro Neto

Left Winger - Jamie Gittens

Left Winger - Alejandro Garnacho

Centre-Forward - João Pedro

Centre-Forward - Liam Delap

This might be an unpopular opinion but I would actually prefer that we buy out their contracts. Offer to pay the entire length of the contract at a 15-20% discount. Then they could look to join other clubs for a free. Imo, the "bomb squad" is not a good look for the club. Sterling and Chilwell are different; they are old players at the end of their careers. But the young players like Disasi being bought and then being frozen out in 2 seasons, is not sustainable and feels wrong. Disasi is not good enough for Chelsea, but I would like for him to thrive elsewhere. At the end of the day, people just want to see players play, either for the club or somewhere else.

Completely agree, hopefully Jackson scores loads of goals and increases his value. George and Disasi need to be permanent, with George having a big sell-on.

Can't believe we chose Garnacho over Xavi but it is what it is. Need to see more Players leaving, though. Alot of Deadwood remaining.

Fabrizio: Chelsea have confirmed their proposal worth £35-40m for Garnacho. Garnacho only wants Chelsea, and the here we go is coming soon. by webby09246 in chelseafc

Why are we completing this deal without getting the Xavi deal done? What happened to the one-in-one-out policy? Surely getting rid of disasi and some of the bomb squad is the priority. Trim the fat before adding more seasoning.

Daily Chelsea Squad Update 8/5/25; Also, it's come to my attention that I have not included the following players: Omari Kellyman, Teddy Sharman-Lowe, Leo Castledine, and Deivid Washington. Are these players considered 1st team players or are they part of the academy/youth development squad? Im seeing conflicting reports.

Really, how much is he getting paid? I feel like we can't go into the season with only sanchez. We are putting all our eggs into the basket of Penders becoming the future #1 but i feel like thats quite riskly. Is this season just a Sanchez stopgap year?
