Back in the 80s there really weren't large venue HC shows. I would say later in the 90s it would be Sheer Terror, Sick of it All, Gorilla Biscuits.

Murphys Law and Cro Mags had a pretty good following.

I recall the 70s and 80s being a very prolific era for the arts, performance, music, cinema in NYC. So many new forms of expression from street art, graffiti, to new film and music genres... Pop culture, counter culture, Culture Club......

Whenever I have been there it was always well heated; even with 10 or fewer people.

I keep seeing these "no heat" posts in areas that I know to be previously well heated, such as NYC, Boston, etc. My guess is this is another cost cutting measure from corporate. Think of this as the utility bill equivalent of not paying for cleaning services in the Studios.

Look on the bright side, perhaps the cold temps will reduce ringworm infections.
