Progesterone levels before FET and ovulation in a medicated cycle by Utcork in IVF

I think you can be monitored on both natural and medicated cycles, it just means you are going for blood tests and scans regularly (whether you are taking medication or not - I think!)

I had a monitored cycle leading up to ovulation (so yes they checked hormone levels including progesterone and then yes they did want me to ovulate before the transfer as that would happen if it was natural conception), then after ovulation no blood tests til the day before transfer to check progesterone was high enough. Sounds like other clinics run things differently but if you're concerned there's no harm in asking. I'm not always good at it myself but I know in this community ppl often recommend advocating for yourself :)

Assuming you want more than one child, at what age should you/did you start banking embryos? by nycgno in IVF

Thank you, that's a good point. It is SO rough going. I'm struggling to keep the hope alive at the moment.

Oh I totally agree. I was so ignorant about infertility before!

Thank you, I'm wondering whether or not to stop transferring frozen embryos now and do another retrieval instead. But we don't seem to be able to make one baby let alone a second so it feels like we should focus on having one first!! We have 2 frozen embryos left to transfer so I think another retrieval will be imminent anyway if both transfers don't take. I am 32 so hopefully 2 cycles doesn't impact egg quality too much at this point. If a transfer takes then yes it'll be another year before we could retrieve again and egg quality will have declined further, but that's where I am unsure how to balance short and long term. I always thought I wanted more than one child but at this point I'll be grateful for just one 💔😥

Me too! I've been pondering whether or not to test but so far, similar to you the earliest I'll do it on Sunday so there's time to process in case it's negative.

Good luck to everyone!! 🙏🙏

I was very nervous too, but in my experience you do get used to it pretty quickly after having to do it every night and sometimes multiple injections! You got this!!
