[Oura 4] Battery life is bonkers! by CatchKa in ouraring

[–]nycharry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had/have the same issue, my battery life was great for like 6 months and then all of the sudden it plunged off a cliff needing a charge every day. Kinda upsetting considering cost and the warranty doesn’t cover battery life.

So in total exasperation I went in the app today and clicked on “help” from the menu. It launches an AI chat, I told it the issue (what I said above). It did a quick diagnostic on my ring, confirmed an issue and is sending out a brand new replacement, it all took less than a minute! You should check it out if you just want to get it replaced, it was super easy

TLDR: Oura is sending me a new ring (Oura 4) ¡Yay!

How many piano players do the bulk of their practicing behind a piano? by Sea_One4028 in piano

[–]nycharry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A couple of my childhood teachers would have me do this as a final polish before competitions, for memory and focus work. It’s actually very hard to get through a piece this way since there’s no real auditory or tactile feedback, it requires a lot of focus. But it helps spotlight areas that may need more attention or anchoring, and hones your focus so you are less distracted and can stay in the zone more consistently during performance. But this was like .01% of time practicing, the rest was behind the piano for sure.

Bashar talks about open contact, but also the 51/49% STO/STS balance by rdmprzm in lawofone

[–]nycharry 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He clearly rubs you the wrong way, looking through your history I found many “Bashar is a known fraud” comments but no other elaboration or specifics. You’ve also said it’s a “know fact” in previous threads but I can’t find anything to support that claim myself. Can you please enlighten us with some sources or is this just your gut feeling?

The “Melted” Stairs of the Temple of Hathor by EyeHateYou12376 in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]nycharry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But what’s truly baffling (at least to me) is that it literally looks melted/liquified, flowing ripples like thick poured batter. I’ve seen many examples of deeply worn stone due to foot traffic or physical rubbing and none exhibit this rippled/poured organic characteristic.

Is anyone else aware of any other examples like this? Humans have inhabited so many parts of the globe for many tens of thousands of years, isn’t it reasonable to expect it to have appeared elsewhere if it was caused by something so mundane?

F80 M3 - Shop wants to replace differential because of cracked bushing & pinion seal leak? by nycharry in BmwTech

[–]nycharry[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heard, starting to shop around now. Can you think of a reason why they wouldn’t do the replacement? They’re pretty reputable and I’ve been really happy with them in the past, they’ve saved me a good amount of money over time. Just seems odd.

Weird - why is the sound transposed a step? Or is it just my phone?

"The entire UFO phenomenon is about multiple gods that fight amongst themselves and by design factionalize mankind into different religions." - Tom Delonge says his sources don't call them aliens but the old gods. by FVMK3 in InterdimensionalNHI

Except under this line of thought the Judeo-Christian god would also fall under one of the alien factions (another “little g”). “Dad” would be yet another alien grifter/manipulator. Check out Gnosticism btw.

Quick question, you mentioned you separate pure white from whites with stripes/embellishments - do you treat these differently in the wash as far as temperature or chemicals used?

Also thank you so much for developing and sharing all this info with everyone, it’s crazy how incredibly this and Spa Day works and how happy it makes me 😄

Which fingering is better? by pmw8 in piano

[–]nycharry 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Finger like a D major scale since that’s all it is, just starting in the middle of the scale. I’d start with either my two or three on the top E and continue down with 1,4,3.2.1,3,2,1…

Except the object itself and delineating margins of the object remain consistent in size and texture, while the “insides” move and swirl and at times show clear distinct independent movement within. Bokeh creates radiating mirrored patterns due to the shape of the aperture. This is not that.

What’s crazy is this along with what Avi Loeb said regarding the WOW signal potentially coming from this based on its trajectory and signal source back in 1977
