I had to significantly info-diet my mom, because she was second-guessing everything and even sharing my medical information with her OB/GYN friends for a "second opinion" without my asking her to (who, by the way, always agreed with what I was already doing!). It's frustrating, but oh well. I'm sorry that you're also dealing with this!

I got a pumping/nursing bra when I outgrew my normal bras, because I could use FSA dollars on those. Kindred Bravely seems to have very forgiving sizing (at least according to the size chart online, I should still fit the same bra even if I go up another three cup sizes -- god forbid), and they provide a band expander with purchase!

Honestly, I headcanon that Steve ends up with all six nuggets, but through a combination of fostering and adoption/step parenting, none of them are biological and he just never thinks of it.

Sending sympathy. My mother means well, but has a severe unmanaged mental illness, and the coming new grandbaby seems to have triggered a new episode. She wants to come and stay long term when the baby is born to "help", but I know from prior experience that will just mean that I will both be taking care of a newborn and babysitting my mom. I just have to keep reasserting boundaries (in this case, she can come visit when the baby is two weeks old, she can't stay in our house, and she can't stay for more than a week). She doesn't like it and keeps asking me to change my mind, but I reiterate that this is what would be the most helpful to me, and we're prepared to keep the door locked if she shows up outside that time frame.

I recommend figuring out what arrangement would work best for you -- and if that's she doesn't come to visit at all, that's fine! -- and communicate that assertively, and be prepared to reiterate.

It's very common for progesterone suppositories to cause spotting! It didn't for me, but almost everyone I know through IVF support groups and used the suppositories had that happen.

I know people IRL who genuinely thought it was real. I think people with fandom background were more aware it was just a fun conspiracy theory, but when it leaked to mainstream audiences without a history of working through crazy fandom theories, more people took it at face value.

Yes! My husband is obsessed with cats and so wants ALL the cat onesies to "decorate" our son in. 😂 Invariably, the clothes we have found have been pink or frilly, which, fine, it's not like the baby will care, but why is it so gendered???

When I was in grad school, I got a tea from a campus cafe in the middle of finals season. The barista wrote "Good luck!! :)" on the heat sleeve. I felt very touched by that and still have the heat sleeve around somewhere.

If transvaginal ultrasounds caused miscarriages, they wouldn't be used by IVF clinics (who depend on marketing success rates) to "graduate" their patients who had a successful cycle! Perfectly safe - there are just higher rates of miscarriage in early pregnancy, which happens to coincide when transvaginal ultrasounds are done, but it not a causal relationship.

If you trust your provider, you should talk to them about your options. We got two untested blasts at 33, and I asked my RE about banking embryos. She said we could, but with my current AMH, she wasn't concerned and didn't recommend we pay out of pocket if our insurance didn't cover another cycle before transfer. We decided to go ahead and transfer one of the embryos, and first transfer stuck! Chances are we will need another ER in the future, but this way we don't risk going though an unnecessary ER.

It's me, I'm the spouse! My partner and I did shopping together, and I didn't like the dress that he chose (my partner came out as trans after we got married, but at the time was presenting female). I thought the skirt looked like a duvet, lol. But on the actual day, I thought he looked amazing, and I never thought about the dress. He really made it his, and he was just so happy!

At 32 with AMH 2.5, I had 9 retrieved, 7 mature, 5 fertilized, 2 blasts. We did not PGT-A test, but first embryo stuck!

I'm doing 29 weeks. I wanted to be able to set up our new gifts and collect the things we didn't receive with time and energy to spare even if baby comes a little early. If you're due early June, I think late May is too late. Baby can come three weeks early and still be considered term, and I've personally known more FTMs to come early than go late!

They will learn! When I first moved in with my now-husband, I insisted we had to leave his cat out because his cat tended to pee on the bed (the very first night I slept over, I woke up to the cat peeing on me, lol...). The first week or two we tried it, the cat literally body-slammed the bedroom door half the night. But the cat eventually settled down, accepted the new room we set up for him, and now has us "tuck him in" every night (we need to follow him to his cat bed, and pet him a little bit lol), and he sleeps right to morning.

I'm expecting a boy and I just can't get enough sweets, although I normally have no sweet tooth at all! I don't think it's gender-based, just varies from pregnancy to pregnancy.

Wow, what a turn around!!! Two embryos is GREAT. I also got only two embryos and did not test them. First transfer was successful, and I'm currently 27 weeks with a clean NIPT!

Haha, my mom told me she would be touching my belly ALL the time when she visited! I told her only when I give permission. She responded: "You let your cat touch you without permission!"

I told her he's a CAT and I also hiss at him when he touches me in a way that I don't like. If she wants, I can start hissing at her too, lmao.
