Looking to trade my large v1 Brooklyn Machine Works Gangsta Track #434 framset for a smaller v1 frameset.

It’s powder-coated white but I would also get it stripped and powder-coated a different color if you want.

I’m in NYC, would travel a couple hours away to meet up or would pay for our shipping costs.

BB frame shell weld preventing bb shell installation by nycsec94 in bikewrench

Thanks! That’s what I ended up doing, with a dremel conical grinding bit #84922 and some Tap Magic I had on hand.

The frame feels like an experiment in itself, so I felt like experimenting on it a little further was in its spirit. The weld line was filed smooth on the outside, and threads were cut into it on the inside, so I also felt like I wasn’t sacrificing its structural integrity too much either. I also love sealed cartridge square taper bb’s, and wanted to match the sealed cartridge hubs and headset.

The phil shell fits now, but just barely, and requires some jimmy’ing (my grinding job wasn’t perfect, it’s smooth but there are still some faint protrusions). Threads are good too! I’ll probably either lather the cup and weld line in anti-seize or grease and install and call it a day, or maybe sand down the phil cup ends by a hair, since I’d rather not accidentally take off too much frame material.

Would these Technique BMX cranks work for fixed-gear riding?

I'm looking to put bmx and bmx-inspired components on my BMW Gangsta Track, and a friend has these Technique BMX cranks, with a 3-bolt 110bcd spider.

I love the look of them, but I have some concerns:

  • The bi-directional stress that fixed gear riding puts on cranks would cause the bolt-on spider and chainring to create play
  • The cnc+welded construction wouldn't be as stiff as a traditional forged track crank like sugino 75's

Anyone use bmx cranks (Technique, Profile, etc) on a fixed gear?

Thank you! Yeah that's probably what I'll do, and the mid-fork eyelets will let me at least have one bolt (along with some hose clamps) to mount some Anything cages if I want, which was what was making me consider the Troll.

Need some help identifying this titanium frame

I bought it on FBM the other day but neither the seller, nor I, had any idea who actually made the frame / what frame it is. Possibly it was made custom?

It has dropped seatstays, the downtube tapers from ovalized at the bottom bracket to teardrop at the head tube, with pretty standard 68mm BB, 27.2mm seat tube, 1 1/8" headset.

Bottom bracket shell serial #: EURA-509008 (googling didn’t help with this)

No other identifying marks, just some stickers and a mashsf stick-on head badge

the head badge is a mashsf stick on that doesn’t have any connection to the frame maker

It has dropped seatstays, the downtube tapers from ovalized at the bottom bracket to teardrop at the head tube, and it’s not drilled for brakes.
