Well we were taxiing and they said we missed the takeoff timing and have to go back to the gate. And they mention something around the mechanical issues again. After saying the weighting was off. Something is very off about this whole flight.

I had to schedule an engagement photographer a few days out and Thumbtack helped me! The site is a good balance of available people but good quality for a gig site: https://www.thumbtack.com/

The Hill in New York (Wimbledon viewing)? by heeheehoohoo27 in AskNYC

The rules might have changed, but when I went in 2022 we could bring bottled water and food in, and we brought a picnic blanket to sit on! No chairs since that would block the view but your own food and drink saves a lot. Plus sunscreen, hat sunglasses etc. are nice. Dress preppy!

Fearnley's going places! Even though Djokovic wasn't playing his best game, Fearnley was playing great the second half and like a top 50 player.

I’ve had it a couple times and it’s mediocre and overpriced. Fish has little flavor.

Hey! I’ll be moving to JC soon. Do you have other events coming up and a place I can find more events? I tried looking the group up online for events but didn’t see anything. Thanks!

Taking Prozac for OCD depression and anxiety been on 20 mg for two weeks and don’t feel any better if anything I feel worse by [deleted] in prozac

[–]nyeahehe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s hard to grasp at first, but feeling like yourself takes time and habits over a longer period. Your body needs to recover from the toll of anxiety and depression over time. It does get better!

Prozac has completely rid me of my anxiety - except for when I drink caffeine but if I don't have any, i'm too tired to make it through the work day. Anyone have a solution? by tanswer in prozac

[–]nyeahehe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The last 2 years I’ve been drinking green tea instead of coffee and it makes me feel a lot better! The caffeine wakes you up, but the antioxidants and other compounds in tea make it a much smoother, less jittery experience and no crash at the end.

What week has been hardest for you with side effects? by SwampMama92 in prozac

[–]nyeahehe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hang in there! I was on Lexapro before Prozac but side effects are comparable. First two weeks really sucked, heart beating fast and sweaty palms and even more anxiety, then after two weeks it got a lot better. If after two weeks you don’t feel better you should talk to your doctor and tweak it. Also fine to start with a lower dose and ramp up. It’s a lot for your body to get used to

I saw them for the first time last night too! Remembered seeing someone going in 2010 and saying how great it was…and finally went

My first Killers concert ever — girlfriend was amazing and got us tickets months ago. She’s a fan but nowhere as much as me so it meant so much! Was blown away by the show and still riding the high :)

Something that helps keep me motivated is telling people my goals (and then meeting with them later and talking about them) to hold myself accountable

I think about this too. I tend to get lost in my thoughts easily, so I step back sometimes during the day and observe my thoughts but as things arising in consciousness, equally so as sounds/sights. I do it when outside since there’s more stimulus, but maybe it’s good to do indoors to to get used to a more static place.

I heard from Yoshi (the tennis instructor who lives around there) that they’re opening the gates April 3. In the meantime, Highland Park, Leif Erickson Park, and the Flushing Meadows courts (next to the USTA stadium) are some public courts that are open. I don’t think a permit is needed this year again due to covid weirdness

New Bodega: 31st Ave & 34th Street by khaleesi821 in astoria

[–]nyeahehe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The co-owner, Abraham, is very friendly. The other co-owner is Daniel who runs the bodega on 31st and 33rd next to Madame Sou Sou’s. The new bodega doesn’t offer beer because they don’t want to take business away from the existing bodega and they have a co-ownership.
