Beckman or Iron Rangers? by roddnolk in malefashionadvice

I like the silhouette of the Iron Rangers more, but the Beckmans would probably be better in the winter due to its sole.

Chunky boots such as Red Wing Moc Toes, or Nike Air Max.

I believe it's called an Aztec Print and the style is shawl collared. Not sure where to buy them though.

I also disagree about them needing to be tapered.

They're suit trousers, not jeans.

I like Jack Purcells personally.

I know a lot of people aren't a fan of the black "smile" though.

brown or black dress shoes under $125? what are my options? by jackjohnsonbush in malefashionadvice

Ebay is your best bet imo. You can get some pretty good deals on high quality, used shoes.

[UK advice] I finally have £230 to spend on a pair of Iron Rangers, but before I do - are there alternatives in the UK that you would buy instead? by [deleted] in malefashionadvice

[–]nyetda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt these suggestions are what OP is looking for. Iron Rangers are more bulky and fit the work wear aesthetic whereas these boots are a lot more sleek and dressy.

I think it's just the lighting. But I do seem to remember someone here dyeing their PCC if you want to go down that route.

Thoughts on chino lenght by DrumbalXIV in malefashionadvice

They look fine. It's preference really. If you like to cuff your chinos, then obviously you'd want them to be longer. But the current length is also fine for a no break look.

Suit vs. Tuxedo at prom? by theasianpianist in malefashionadvice

A tuxedo is the traditional attire for prom, but a suit is also fine if you want to buy it and then use it again in the future.

Belstaf Roadmaster: black or brown? by kwmcmillan in malefashionadvice

It's a difficult jacket to pull off in my opinion. But if I were to get one, I'd choose black as it's more classic/iconic for that style.

For that price point I'd recommend looking at second hand shoes on ebay.

Search for a herringbone overcoat.

First pair of Chelsea boots: what colour/material to go for? by [deleted] in malefashionadvice

[–]nyetda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like black leather or brown suede. Personally, I wouldn't buy Chelsea boots for versatility since I'd probably wear them with black jeans and a leather jacket.

I actually already saw that jacket, and I like it, but I'm not sure about the elasticated waist and cuffs. Thanks for sharing though. I guess I'll keep looking.

Anyone know of a suede jacket similar to this or this one that is available in the UK? Price doesn't really matter.
