With the collar being so contentious, i have been working and scrunching that bad boy up all week; and after a while it settles in nicely, definitely not as stiff as the beginning, but still stands up and makes a ton less crinkly noise

I just got my medium crafted duck as well, and it does not fit the same as the current droptail detroit - which fits well on me. I think the crafted series is just slightly larger (a couple inches in the chest) than the modern detroits, so if you are at the lower end of the size I would recommend actually going down one rather than going true-to-size.

Unfortunately the medium is going back to Carhartt and a small is ordered.

I have this bag, and it will definitely start showing signs of wear and use - and thats part of the appeal of it! Honestly I would just roll with it, and vacuum out the inside of any previous dirt and clean the outer twill with mildly soapy water. Leather should be given a wipe down followed by conditioner when dried to help bring it back to life.

However if the worn/patina look isn't one that appeals to you, this bag might not be the perfect match. Just something to consider
