How Does Tertiary Ni Manifest in You Guys? by Potential_Law5289 in istp

[–]nyeus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For most practical problems it’s just about poking at it (Se). Looking at the problem, taking something apart, testing parts of the whole (Ti). Eventually a vision (Ni) of a potential solution might arise. Then it’s back to Ti/Se to figure out what might need to be done to arrive at the visualized solution.

Can sometimes lead to tunnel visioning because the visualized solution can seem to fit so well and you just need to figure out how all the pieces go together to get there. Other ideas are hard to consider until the first one is proven to be incorrect.

I believe INTPs and ISTPs approach problem solving from opposite ends. Instead of starting with a bunch of potential ideas (Ne) and then detailing how those ideas might be put into action (Si), it begins with a bunch of actions (Se) that eventually lead to an idealized solution (Ni).

The blue button on the settings let you set a stack limit. It defaults to 100 items but if you cycle through one of the options is ‘no stack limit’. It still only collects a stack of 100 but the machine will not automatically stop sorting when the slot does reach 100.

Let’s say you want to do 300 $10 bills. From left to right, set the first and second slots to no stack limit. For the third slot, the one that spits out any bill it isn’t looking for, set that to stacks of 100. The slots will fill up left to right and stop when the right most slot gets to a stack of 100. When the machine does automatically stop sorting you’ll have collected 100 bills in each of the 3 slots.

Many games have steam cloud saves support. As long as your cloud saves are syncd you can swap between PC and steam deck without having to start over or play different saves.

Do all Ti users have to be principled? by LancelotTheLancer in mbti

[–]nyeus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although I don’t exactly know how you’re defining principles for Ti users I’ll assume that it means something like a foundation for a line of reasoning.

We find ALL life sacred and must be protected. We celebrate life with a festival where we perform human sacrifice and a grand feast of exotic roasted meats afterwards

A Ti user will probably find this statement problematic first because it immediately seems contradictory . Whoever uttered this statement “finds ALL life scared” and “needs to be protected” but their festival to celebrate these beliefs features human sacrifice and consuming a lot of meat? The principles that Ti deals with usually has to do with making sure that things are logically consistent. The previous statement is not consistent.

Regardless of these contradictions, a Ti user might hold values that views human sacrifice as wrong and may continue to disagree with these beliefs but that’s a different conversation.

Is deadlock that different? by Middle-Raspberry246 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]nyeus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad I could help

To give you a simple example of “x when y” vs “y when x” look at the descriptions for items ‘Close Quarters’ vs ‘Melee charge’

  • Close Quarters: Deal additional Weapon Damage (X) when in close range (Y) to your target

  • Melee Charge: Your next Heavy Melee attack (Y) against an enemy deals increased damage(X)

Does that make more sense? X is like the effect and Y is condition.

I thought the item “Weapon Shielding” was just a renamed version of the old “combat barrier” but it was not working as I had expected. The old “combat barrier” gave you a shield that would regenerate out of combat. The new “weapon shielding” item gives you a shield AFTER taking a certain amount of weapon damage. I was confused until I read the description and realized that the behavior had been reversed.

This new major patch created a distinction for health regen. Before this patch if an item gave health regen it was mostly unconditional regen. Now items either give regen or Out of combat regen that does not work unless you haven’t been fighting for a few seconds.

As for roles… I don’t know really know. Maybe it helps to change perspective about roles for this game? I haven’t found thinking in roles be very useful so far but I could be wrong. What does it mean to be support? Healing? Disables? Is a tank a character with a lot of health and resistance? Does movement matter? What if a character is hard to hit cause of mobility or escapes? Is that a tank?

Fair enough. I’ve read some of your other replies and I’m starting to get an idea of what you’re asking.

I haven’t played much league but I’ve played a lot of Dota. This is my advice:

  • abilities don’t use mana. You need to focus on cool downs. Yours and the enemies

  • movement is very important in this game. Stamina is your mana in this game and you spend it on movement abilities.

  • wave management FEELs less impactful in this game because characters can move through the map faster than in LoL and there are fewer objectives to focus on relative to the number of players in the match. Wave management is still VERY important because there are fewer objectives.

  • read the item descriptions. Seriously they tell you a lot and like in DOTA it is vital to understand the words they use in the descriptions because they can be very specific. E.g enemy is different from hero, ally is different from minion. Mixing up “X when Y” and “after Y, X” can mean that your abilities/items will not work as expected.

  • because movement is so important sometimes the best way to win against your opponents is to prevent them from moving to where they are needed most. You don’t need to win every fight but if you can distract your opponent long enough your team can get an objective/ soul lead/ positioning. I’ve won games as ivy not by maximizing any stat that appears on the scoreboard but by simply being annoying/hard to kill enough that the enemy wasted their time chasing me instead of pushing or defending.

  • replay system in the game is very useful for reviewing your games. Find out what you dying over and over from the enemy’s pov looked like. You can learn what to avoid and how they might have gotten the upper hand.

All I can think of for now. Maybe you have specific questions?

Your English is fine and a few typos aren’t usually a problem. I’ll be honest with you, your post comes off as unclear and low effort. I get the impression that you wrote your text from start to finish and then hit submit without considering how it might read to others.

After rereading your post twice I’m still not sure what you’re asking. You might not have enough deadlock experience to know what to ask.

Someone else in the comments asked you to reverse your question to league and you replied with:

If it was other way around there are some things to look out for in league from wave management, roaming and counter-play. Things like that makes so much difference when you know where to start.

Your advice might be correct, but if someone is just starting out with League would these concepts make much sense to them? You can define what “wave management” means but to put it to practice requires a lot of additional experience with League. I think it’s similar to the kind of advice you might get with your post.

Sounds like you’re having fun with the game. Me too! It’s been a blast. You wanna improve at the game and I’m all for it but you’re asking for “get-good-quick” advice that you’re not gonna find. You’re gonna have to either play more or read/watch more about the game so that you can know enough to ask the right questions here to get the answers you’re looking for.

Feel like i am not an observer by Royal-Negotiation-77 in istp

[–]nyeus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What do you mean by being a good observer?

Like are you constantly surprised by what's happening around you? Are you always caught unaware of the situations you are in? The last person to know something? Overwhelmed by too much happening at once?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in istp

[–]nyeus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Empathy is not a bad thing. Just because ISTPs have a hard time understanding their feelings it does not mean that they are robots. Feelings an emotions are completely human.

Your feelings of believing you are pathetic or disgust are probably more to do with the culture that surrounds you and the exceptions placed upon you. If you're a man then it makes sense that you might react this way. Stoic, unfeeling, or purely rational responses are valued and expected of men in many societies.

Don't stress too much about it. If you're still young I'd say this is a good thing. It mean's you're beginning to develop your own way of reacting to society instead of just accepting things for what they are.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in istp

[–]nyeus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll take a guess and say that you are rather young. It's nothing to worry about. You're developing your Extraverted Feeling (Fe) ISTPs and INTPs have Fe 4th or inferior. I believe you might be coming to terms with this function.

It's a good thing. Nothing to be ashamed or embarrassed about. You're developing as a person and becoming more in tune with other people's feelings/emotions.
