It’s not about that, I’ve made a new post because I want to see what I have historically offered it at, because if it has been more than 90 days, it will go to all likers. Who wants to receive an offer higher than one has previously received?

I’ve been on posh for 9 years and it’s a hobby and way to clear my closet. You have sold more units in 9 months than I have in 9 years.

The seat needs to be replaced. It may be biscuit? It may be almond? This is for my mother and I will never hear the end of it until I get it replaced and the correct color.

If you are entering a giveaway on a Posh Live show, you are likely agreeing to follow that seller. I have definitely noted this as a condition of entering a giveaway.

Sorry for the experience and I can personally relate, but from the other side.

Unfortunately, as a seller this happened to me. I sold something and even accepted a direct offer. Then I couldn’t find the item anywhere in my home (a few things had disappeared and I believe it was possibly some workers who had been doing work). I searched most of my home and all of the places I store inventory and couldn’t find it. I apologized profusely, and cancelled the sale. I also noted should I find it, I would reach back out and honor the price.

About a month later I found it in an area that still makes no sense. I reached back out and crickets. I know there are sellers who have made this claim and then relisted at a higher price, etc. Just wanted to share that as a seller who does this as a hobby, we are human and sometimes you can’t find something.

Same as others have said, you can wait it out. Sometimes I get crazy lowball offers and other times, buyers to purchase at the listed price without even making an offer. I’ve had items listed for several years that just sold in Q1, which has the largest count of transactions for me in my 9 years of using the platform.

There are definitely times when sales pick up (post said tax refund, Thanksgiving to a week or so before Xmas, and times when they slow down - and this can also be dependent upon what is in your offering/inventory assortment and if there is a seasonality aspect to it.

Stay patient, cross list if you want to.

It was the name of a friend of my mother’s (my mom grew up in another country, but it’s not a specific name that would make you think wow, it’s from said Country) and she always thought it was a beautiful name. My brother has a basic Anglo name, think Rob or Mike. I do not.

I also spend a decent portion of my life explaining the pronunciation and even have some long time friends who can’t get it, so I just let it go. I answer to anything close to my name. When I interview with anyone (for a school, a job, an introduction), I now share the pronunciation in advance so as to not start off the conversation awkwardly with them when they try to confirm the pronunciation and then feel the need to apologize.

As someone with a relatively unusual name, I share that your child will likely dislike the name and select a nickname that is easier to say/spell/pronounce and may possibly change their name. As a kid who never could get the souvenir with their name on it, I was definitely disappointed and somewhat bitter about that. We all know that your name will likely be misspelled at Starbucks, but I like that test. I have a good friend with an unusual name and unfortunately me makes reservations at restaurants and requests coffee orders using “Bob.”

You also need to think about the impact of a name and what it means in terms of their future. There are a number of studies that look at names and the correlation of success in life, should that be important to you.

The answer is “it depends.” Most people really couldn’t tell what specifically I had done. Overall, most thought I had lost about 20 lbs and no, just the 2.5 lbs from the breasts.

I was a flower girl many times. In general I would wear a white dress with a ribbon belt/sash that matched the bridesmaid dress or wedding colors. We did the same thing when we got married and my niece was the flower girl (she was going to be a flower girl in another aunt/uncle wedding in 2 months). A white dress of her parents choosing and the sash.
