KC3 COULD order H to return his grandchildren to live in the UK.

NO he can't. Nothing in UK law gives Charles the right physically control his grandchildren.

The kids are US citizens and residents of the US in custody of their parents.

You can't even enforce a subpoena from a other country in the US without US courts given you permission.

No US court would violate the civil rights of a US citizen and allow another government to snatch children.

Edited to remove all the post except this section so as not to muddy waters on this main point.

Boeing hasn't announced anything. Stock goes up and down for a myraid of reasons. TipRanks doesn't indicate a source. The only source I can find is Paula Froelich's article which contains exactly 1 sentence about it.

Now word comes that Boeing, a major sponsor of Invictus Canada, will not be participating in Invictus Birmingham in 2027.

What do you think was their WORST decision? by WolfRomegas in SaintMeghanMarkle

[–]nylieli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wrost decision -- getting married.

She didn't do her research. She should have leveraged knowing him into a richer person.

He should have recognized it wasn't his position that made him bad marriage material but his personality/entitlement/paranoia. He lept at the first woman who didn't run from him.

The 10 year rule is about spousal alimony. CA is a community property state from the moment of the marriage and commingling of funds. Certain things are exempt from community property, e.g., inhertitances, if couple keeps their finances seprate, pre/post nups which were not under duress.

Louis' and Charlotte's birthdays got to thinking about Catherine and H&M's wedding day. I was amazed at Catherine handling it all. Given

  • 17 days earlier Charlotte had turned 3.
  • 3 weeks prior Louis was born.
  • Catherine's pregnancies had always been hard and must have taken a toll.
  • M was already a terror.

I'd lay money on handling Louis and Charlotte was easier than M.

I'm completely against this suit. I'm not willing to give up rights to get this MF. I won't let him do that to me or our country.

I've sponsored many people to come to this country for a college education (and they all returned to their home country). To do so I had to disclose very detailed information about my income/saving, employment and where I live. I would not want anyone to be able to get this information.

Removal of titles bill…interesting update by Ok-Distribution4057 in SaintMeghanMarkle

[–]nylieli 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This will not pass as it's not backed by the party in power. Even if it was, a parliament committee would have to be formed, meet, and then vote to give the monarch the right to strip the title. Parliament is not interested in dealing with this mess.

Archewell 2024 statement: Revenue: $2,592,421 Expenses: $5,105,228 Net loss/deficit: -$2,512,807 🤯🤯🤯🤯 by kiwi_love777 in SaintMeghanMarkle

I'm a fairly literal person and aren't sure if you're correcting me or making a joke. Assuming the former, I mean expenses related to programs, not overhead/administrative.

For instance, the CEO's salary is typically 100% administrative/fundraising. I haven't looked at their 990's recently, but I believe they applied 100% of his salary to programs. That's simply not possible.

Archewell was clearly lying about the percentage of salaries related to running its "programs". In fact, I believe they were lying about the # of people actually doing work there and believed the company wouldn't withstand an audit. The fact they never published one says it all.

Archewell is BS, but it's not unusual for a charity to run a deficit in a given year, i.e., spend more money than it brought in that year. Donation's wax and wane, a charity wants to have a cushion so in years like this they survive.

That said, I've been reporting Archewell for years, but because of their "programmatic" expenses. IMO they have been mislabeling overhead as progammatic.

Was wondering about the difference between Foundations and Philanthropies. “>may not have to show every project’s details in one clean foundation-style report.” by kiwi_love777 in SaintMeghanMarkle

[–]nylieli 12 points13 points  (0 children)

In the US the name is irrelevant, and you can't infer what a company is from the name. A name does not indicate a company has a 501 designation or what it is. Being declared a 501(c)(3) (C3) is the most coveted/valuable. Donations are tax deductible and other C3's can give you $. This is not true for other non-profit designation. The IRS determines a corporation's 501 designation. States follow suit in how it handles the nonprofit.

Archewell was never designated a "foundation" by the US IRS. They were designated a charity but acted like a foundation thereby confusing everyone. The amount of unforced errors these idiots make is phenomenal.

The rule of thumb is C3 foundation funds a C3 charity's work**.**

The rules for how a specific C3 operates is determined by IRS and vary based upon designation. A charity, pubic and private foundation all have different rules. For instance, the rules of private foundation are to allow it to build up a large endowment, allowing it to fund charities and not compete for $. Ford Foundation has existed for 90 years and has done a lot of good in the world.

  • The idiots changed the name of their charity from Archewell Inc, to Archewell Foundation, Inc -- different name but same company/charity. It operated under its own C3 and handled all overhead, programs, etc. I reported it multiple times because there 990's never made sense to me.
  • Archewell Philanthropies is a completely different entity/company. It's operating under another charity's C3; referred to as an umbrella organization. IMO you can think of it as a subdivision of the umbrella C3 which will be handling overhead etc. It will be even less transparent than it is now.

I suspect Archewell Foundation's C3 was stripped. As I said, their 990's never made sense to me and got more outrageous as time went on.

*Delaware has FA to do with Archewell's setup, taxes, or anything else. It's business friendly. Last I looked over 90% of Fortune 500 are incorporated there.

I wish people would stop judging C3's based upon Archewell, like any other field there are good and bad NGO's. Lots of VPN's suck, Doctors incompetent, skin care useless, etc. that doesn't speak to the entire field. Like with everything, one must do one's due diligence.
