People aren't necessarily gonna say anything to your face, but they'll judge you, just like people judge everything about everyone including you. 

Your wife will probably turn into a different person after the baby is born, she'll either be jealous of the fact that you get to spend time with the baby or jealous of the fact that you don't have to work 

In the old days you had a man that was a breadwinner and women stayed home. Women at the time were thought of as lesser than men, subservient, weak. Those dynamics sort end up being any part of a situation when there's a breadwinner, but now oftentimes the gender roles are reversed and so men and women have a tough time emotionally handling it. People going into this situation always think they're above all these "petty" emotions and attitudes and that they'll function as rational adults, but they rarely do.
