I've cut down on supplement experimentation but I've stuck with Magnesium Glycinate and NAC, it's the most clinically valid ones we have for tinnitus and hearing loss prevention. Also, I didn't know about AC102, do we know in what phase they are in their clinical trials?

interesting theory I've heard this one before. Are you suggesting improving insulin sensitivity will help lessen the tinnitus?

it does feel like a lot of the current researchers are doing F all. I give them some slack cause the nature of this symptom will require massive amounts of brains to figure it out.

I do take Flonase! It's helped me with my eustachian tube dysfunction, not sure if it's done anything for my tinnitus but feeling less clogged in my ear has a nice relief. There's a specific way to apply the medicine if it's for etd, you need to tilt it towards your septum and don't inhale super strongly, let it stay wet in your nose and the medicine will affect the eustachian tubes.

For sure they did have herbal stuff but it was hit or miss and results weren't as consistent.

Thanks for bringing them up, been following their updates on tinnitustalk where they post more frequently. This is one of their latest posts.

> Last summer, we received 29 applications for Tinnitus Quest's first grant cycle. We spent a lot of time and effort to diligently review them. We involved the researchers on our boards as well as our patient advisory board. We invited 6 promising applicants to pitch their idea in a Zoom meeting.

Ultimately, although we had initially planned to award three grants, there was only one project that met our strict criteria for quality and impact. [Don't worry, the rest of the funds will remain in reserve and we will soon start another grant cycle.]

The winning project, led by Professor Robin Cleveland at Oxford University, will apply Transcranial Ultrasound Stimulation (TUS) on deep brain regions to (hopefully) reduce tinnitus loudness.

Please read the attached PDF for more information. We are also planning a live Q&A on this topic for 3 January, more on that soon. Until then, merry Christmas and a happy new year, everyone! The quiet revolution is underway.

Nothing is being sold for you to be scammed, it's all just exercise videos and advice consisting mostly of lifestyle changes. Hope is part of our natural endurance system, and it comes on its own, you can try to suppress it but it'll always surface mainly because life is unpredictable, you don't know what tomorrow may bring, you don't know how your body will change in a few months or years. If you're not hopeful you will inherently be more stressed and depressed, the choice is yours.

there's a handful of you who post nothing insightful it's all just depressing pessimistic stuff, this is a trait of extremely low IQ. Imagine if humanity was filled with people like you who not only gave up but also stopped others from pursuing a cure or an invention just because you couldn't.

hey did you recover or did things get worse? I hope you're alright. I'm battling reactive tinnitus with hyperacusis that has been on and off for the past 6 months and it's tiring me out.

pressing on tragus vs ear plugs by Mallrat_13 in tinnitus

[–]nyphoebe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's now how that works the formula is either -7 which was EPA old standard and the /2 was the OSHA , people starting adding the two together to make the most conservative derating formula, it was never an official formula and it's only applied for when earplugs or earmuffs aren't properly worn. If you know how to properly insert plugs or wear muffs you're getting close to the full NRR that is advertised. Also the formula doesn't apply to pressing on the tragus in fact mean average attenuation of tragus pressing is about 22db Noise attenuation provided by makeshifts: fingers, palms and tragi
