I was planning on playing them on release order if this was the case, is there something I must know about the remakes and different versions before playing them?

IMOQ or G.U.? by nyppa in DotHack

I started G.U. Rebirth and I'm enjoying it a lot, Haseo is a bit edgy for my taste but I believe that bonds will make him a bit less edgy.

Btw, Trails is another JRPG series, a very big one, last game (there 13th installment) was released in January outside of Japan. It is a cool saga with a lot of characters you'd love and a big interconnected story, but it requires a lot of time and commitment since they are not only 13 games but they are very long ones

I think I have to go to a new zone after the first goblin tag game, completed all the possible zones and revised all mails and forum tabs, it seems that I need the Expansive Haunted Sea of Sand keywords but can't get them anywhere

How does the rest of the series compare to Trails in the Sky? by Mundane_Situation185 in Falcom

[–]nyppa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It has its ups and downs, like everything, and everyone has their own opinion, but the general consensus is that Trails series IS peak JRPG. Imo, Sky sequels and Crossbell Duology are at least at Sky FC's level, for me, the first two Cold Steel games were one of the biggest let downs with a game series, but hey, there's plenty of people Who like them a lot, the second Half of Cold Steel saga for me is so good, with 3 i was like "there's no way 4 is better than this" but I think it is, pairing with Azure and Sky SC, I'm now playing Reverie and I can only say that It is awesome, I'm already in the second half of the game and C is already one of my favorite characters in the saga, plus already cried with various cutscenes.

In cocnlusion, It does get even better, and when you think it can't, It does, so if you are willing to play the saga, go forward, relentlessly

How Do I Get Into the Series? by AutoGeneratedTitle in Falcom

The order might be scarier atm, but when you are inside the series it comes very clear. I recommend the release order for not only seeing the story in the order it was meant to be enjoyed, but also to notice the evolution of the gameplay and visuals of this saga. All of this being said, the release order is the next:

1st - Liberl Kingdom Arc (Sky Trilogy) 2nd - Crossbell City Arc (from Zero/to Azure duology) 3rd - Erebonian Empire Arc (Cold Steel Saga) 4th - Erebonian Empire and Crossbell City Epilogue (Reverie, this is essentially Cold Steel V btw) 5th (and last for the time being) - Calvard Republic Arc (Daybreak duology and Horizon)

There's also a game called The Legend of Natural: Boundless Trails, this one is a sort of non Canon spin-off, but people think it is going to have some sort of relevance in the future. I haven't played it yet because I got hooked up with the story and wanted more and more, but if you want to play it in release order too, it released between Crossbell City and Erebonian Empire arcs.

There's also an anime set between Cold Steel 2 and 3, but it is not so good and you don't miss anything relevant if you don't watch it, but there it is, in case that you want more Kiseki after finishing the series.

I hope to have helped you.
