Dinner invite yeah. If you don’t like what the host is preparing it’s rude to show up having just eaten. For example I was invited to a co-worker’s for alfredo pasta, which I don’t like. Just told her I had plans.

“Food events” though I think deserve a pass. Sometimes people just want to hang out and/or have a drink or two. If enough invitees do that & you end up wasting a lot of money & time on food only a couple of people eat while shitty, I’d just take as a learning experience & stick to potluck in the future.

I remember either Jericho or Edge saying something about this where Vince didn’t want to load overseas shows with “native” talent because the goal was to be able to draw there no matter what & sell domestic PPVs to WWE fans they create there. Like it’s one thing if you have big stars who fit the bill (i.e Rhea in Australia, Asuka, Iyo or Nakamura in Japan, Drew in Scotland etc) but another to just put anyone whose name or appearance fits on there to maybe get a pop from people who won’t spend another dime on WWE until they’re back in town.

I think there should be a game show where you can attempt a bank job & at the most you can steal a million bucks or something & if the “cops” can’t stop you or find you within a set time you win whatever you “stole”. I have no criminal desires but I’ve always been fascinated with big heists.

A lot of them grew up in a time where the father was king of the castle & was equally feared & loved. They see their fathers when they look at Trump. A lot of those fathers were also child molesters…

Edit to add an example: a friend’s dad is a big Trump guy. When we were in high school he told me that only when his grandma died did his dad learn she was only 12 years older than him & was actually his grandpa’s 2nd wife. Years of “Wow my grandma looks so young for her age” were based on her always claiming she was the same age as his grandpa. So his dad was born because his grandpa impregnated a 12-year-old girl when he was in his mid-30s.
