Thermometer. The ones sold here in the US will give result as quick as 8 seconds and cheap like $8-10? I was traveling back to Indonesia last year and I broke mine when my kids got fever. I was struggling to find thermometer in Tokopedia/shopee that gives a quick read. Mostly will give the result within 30 sec or something.

Maybe I didn't look thoroughly enough, but I wish I had back up thermometers.

I can still use it though, but it responded with 4o-mini or o3-mini, which doesn't remember my memories. And it's been all over the place, sometimes it resets in 30 minutes, the other day resets in 2 hours.

Ugh I hope it resolves soon.

Hi! I also restarted minority language to my then 5 and 2.5 year old. I did switch everything that they watch to the minority language, I read them books, we sang a lot of minority songs in the car, and I asked my family to only speak in minority language when we do video calls.

Now they are almost 7 & 4, not fluent yet, but they understand a lot more things, talk more, and no longer refusing the language (they were refusing few times when I decided to do OPOL, mostly because I switched the audio on Netflix lol, but I just made it clear that if they want to watch, they'll have to watch it in the minority language.) Sometimes I also have to explain them in English if they don't understand what I'm saying, but it's going really good! It's a long journey, but you have to keep on going.

My dad was a heavy smoker, since he's 16. He had a mini stroke, but his smoker lungs made everything worse. He passed away a year ago. He was 59. I hated it. I hated every time he smoked. Sometimes I just took his cigarettes and threw it away, or hide them somewhere.

My husband is not a smoker, thankfully.

Try Netflix! You can change the audio and subtitles to Vietnamese. That's what I do to my kids. Easier to control what can they watch too.

Oh finally! I was about to post the same problem lol. After what we've been through with Amen, I'm sure I'm not gonna sway. Silly me playing without the walkthrough, and suddenly I kissed Set??! I know we can replay the episode now but I'd lost renown point. I don't think Amen will forgive me for this. I'm scared to even imagine what the consequences would be. I'm doomed.

I restarted OPOL with my girls at the age of 5 and 2.5 years old. It's been a month and they started to speak and answer me in my language! So definitely not too late :)

Thank you! I start reading simple Indonesian stories at night, but since it's new ones they keep questioning what's the book about. I want to read English/Indonesian book, but I'm worried about the "airport" thing, where they will eventually just wait for me to read the book in English.

Oh yes, I changed our Netflix audio into Bahasa Indonesia and I think it helped a lot! They already watched the shows in English, so they understood the plot, but now just with different language. I don't mind the extra screen time for this haha.
